New-ish car time....

After the new year i will be in the market for a newish car, somthing a little bit bigger than the TL. Would love a truck or SUV, but can not justify it. I have narrowed it down to 3 possible cars, but open to suggestions. Need room for a car seat in the back, and possibly another one......

2006-2008 Lexus GS 3xx
2006-2008- RL
2007-2009 Infiniti G/M sedan

price range is 25k, anyone of those cars looking at about 30-50k on the clock, not interested in BMW's or any Benz. I really like the lexus, not as sporty, but really nice on the inside, all are not as sporty as the TL, thought about a type S, but don't think i'm gonna go that way. Anybodys help would be nice, Happy thanks giving guys!

TBH, I'm not sure if the RL or G sedan are much larger than the TL. I say get the M sedan or GS if you're looking to go larger, although I really don't think the rear room is significantly larger than the TL.

RL or M. I am obviously biased toward the RL, though. You can make the RL sporty with A-Spec suspension and sticky rubber like I did. Neither if much bigger than the TL, to be honest.

I would go with a M or an A6/8. Just look over the M carefully, I hear rattles are common

^^^My old man has an 07 M45, not a single rattle on it and almost 50k miles fwiw. The thing is a beast and hasn't had a rattle since he bought it. It's very solidly built. I'd definitely say M in the list.

Hows the GPS? Screen looks tiny and kinda far away from driver. I hav'nt had a chance to drive any of them. No interested in Audi's. I like the looks outside of the M the best and the RL for the inside, from the specs i've read, looks like the GS a underpowered.

I'd say RL or M! If you went for the M, would you want all wheel drive? If not, hands down M. If you wanted AWD, I'd go with the RL.

Out of the three I would get the RL, but it's not really that much bigger than the TL

Kind of an odd question, given that you already have a TL, and the choices you list are not that much bigger. Hmmmm, with 2 car seats, have you ever thought of a minivan

A minivan...are you out of your mind! Haha, no I am considering SUV's or bigger trucks, but the MPG's are horrible, and for an SUV with those kind of options i'm looking at much more money. I guess it also has a little bit to do with the new car itch i've been fighting off for 2 years now. One thing i have considered is just keeping the TL as 2 car seats in the back = Destroyed back seats...I would perfer AWD

The GS i really like, the 350 looks like such a nice ride, 303HP 3.5L, AWD. For the price range, all the models are about the same 06-08 for the RL's, 06-07 for M and GS, all from 30-50K. All nice cars, Like i said i'm going to have to take them all for a spin and see which one better suites me.

I would pick the GS first. I drove them quite a bit as a valet and loved them. If you decide against the GS, I would go for the M. I wanted one before I got my TL but they were out of my price range.

M is more fun to drive then the Lex... Both can be had for a steal on the used market. The RL isn't too much bigger then your TL.

The GS is pretty cramped in the back seat compared to the others

This scenario is the same for me minus the car seats. Im considering the same choices along with a 06-07 Caddy STS. My preference would b to get the M but they are kinda pricey for lower mileage in my area. Although I hate to let go of my mechanic since he works at a honda dealership, so thats a big factor in getting another TL since I dont know any1 at Nissan or Lexus.

The GS also has a tiny trunk.
The G37 interior is smaller than that of a 3G TL.

Which really surprised me because the previous gen G seemed to be pretty spacious even compared to my 3G.

I drove/rode in my friend's 08 G35, and you are right, they are pretty spacious.

Although I would say get the Lexus GS, because I'm a fan of those. They look pretty nice. Also in your options, I would consider GS, RL, and M. Skip the G.

I like the GS GPS the best, for some reason i cannot shake the RL, i love that car, either way i will have AWD. I did'nt even know they made a GS with a V-8, but it seems to be out of my price range with decent miles, same for the M45

The V8's don't come in AWD.

I'm going to revise what I said, and suggest getting a used A8, it's fairly reliable, maintenance costs aren't that outlandish, my father had one, it ran well. Also it's much larger than the TL and it should definitely meet your needs.

None of the choices are much bigger than the TL. I would recommend a Gen Sedan or maybe Cadillac STS
