I think I am going to go for this car if it looks good in person. I am going through Ft. Lauderdale where it is on Saturday and I am going to stop in and see it. I have always liked this car (even though some don't) and I have only seen two other ones on the street before. I also love the color combo! I have never owned a manual transmission car before but I think I can live with it. The car is pretty much loaded with everything including navi (no I drive).

Well, I went to see the BMW Z4 and it turned out to be pretty dirty inside and there were a few scratches on the outside. It looked better in the pictures. After I left BMW I went over to Infinit and picked up a 2008 G37 I love this car!!! The only changes I am going to make are to remove the dealer decal, remove pinstripe, and tint the windows. Thats all.......for a while anyway.

Here are some pics. The car is really dirty because it was raining all day today. I will take more once shes all cleaned up.

16-24 mpg for m37 so avg is 20

say he drives 12k a year

12k/24.5 = 490 gallons a year for a 3 series x gas price (we'll say 4.25) - $2082 per year
12k/20 = 600 gallons a year for the M37 x gas = $2550 per year

now i don't care who you are but $500 is $500 and thats could be a few nice mods over a few years totaled up or a month or two of free insurance or whatever.

Plus the less gas the collective population uses the lower the price will stay so we should hope that ALL people start buying more fuel efficient cars today.

2. g8 gt is a good idea too however i hate american cars and again gas mileage could be better (notice i didn't say he'd save thousands of $ but I just think most cars today should be getting at least 30 hwy in general)
As a self proclaimed "car guy" I would happily pay an additional $500/year in fuel to drive the car I liked better, over $1500 and I'd have to think about it, but I'd probably still do it, you only live once, and you can't take it with you when you go.

Agreed. If it's the $40/mo that would make or break it one probably shouldn't consider spending that much money. That's not true in this case ...

Either way, if two cars are equal, pissing away $500 for no reason doesn't make much sense.

Congrats and for posting pics asap! Good choice, though I would have went the extra mile and gotten the Sport package... looks better IMO, probably cost a bit more though.

Ditch the pinstripe pronto... I don't even know why they even put them on cars anymore.

Because dealers can pay $35-50 to have them put on and charge $200 for them.

I am getting the windows tinted in a few days and I am removing the stripe. The window sticker had a dealer add on section that said "Appearance package" which I think is a stripe and they charged $699 for it. They also had their dealership name plastered all over the back but thats already gone.

I didn't get the S because it really wasn't worth it to me. This one has everything I need and want. I really don't need huge brakes and a sport suspension. I had coilovers on my TSX and I wanted something much smoother this time.

I had an 07 G35X sedan and even with out S trim it still rode much stiffer then my TSX did

I no longer needed a daily driver and wanted something more fun to drive. I really prefer the smaller car, I am no longer expected to drive every where, I have no problem driving, but if I do it is me and one passenger. I am a single guy so storage isn't really a problem, besides with the top down and a creative mind the S2000 is very versatile.
