Granted it was a base ATS, maybe thing are a lot better in the 2.0T or -V?

Not sure if anything has changed, but my former boss had an ATS sedan for a rental when he was in town & I wasn't overly impressed with the interior. Exterior looked good, but interior left a bit to be desired, especially the Corsica speedometer.

The 3G CTS interior is awesome for a GM car. Even so, they really need to step it up on the ATS. They need to kidnap interior folks from Honda/Acura. The refinement in my RLX is simply at another level. The only thing better would be a full-boat E-class Benz interior, now that reeks class and quality.
Not ready to spend (or, more likely, lease) a $100k 3G CTS-V yet.

What's wrong with the interior? Looks great to me. I heard some complaints about the CUE system, but haven't tried it so..

ATS is their lowest tier car in the lineup.. so I can understand certain cuts, but I think some of the interior trim options look great. A hell lot better than the ILX.

Honestly, the feel and finish in Betty's SRX is pretty amazing IMO. I mean, the layout of the dash can be subjective and most would like Acura's better...but there's something classy about the simplicty in the Caddy...add to that the solid feel when closing the doors, the led strip that goes all around the doors...the plus seats...I love her car.
Hers has the pre-Cue system and I think I like it better...I didn't like the haptic feedback of the cue buttons and how you're never quite sure if you pressed the button or not or if you're doing it too hard or hard enough. Meh...splitting hairs but I love hers.

The biggest thing to me is that the ATS interior isn't bad, but that instrument cluster is terrible.
Those V-Recaros though

instrument cluster or infotainment cluster?

I don't think it's ultra sleek, but I love the info screen. It has multi-info segments which is a plus, so you don't have to scroll through pages of info plus you can see several data points at once. I'm not a fan of the all digital gauges.. the execution and layout could probably be better, but it looks like it hits all the functions and wants in my book.

Just noticed those a-pillar speakers..

Here's the 3.6 cluster for comparison and to show how the info segments can be changed to what you'd like to see.. I'm guessing oil pressure, g-meter, timer, tpms, etc are retained as well.. All good info.

Ok, the first one looks much better, the 3.6 cluster just looks like it's from a late 90s GM product, IMO.

The CTS-V is all digital.. it looks pretty slick and highly configurable.

I had an ATS rental a few weeks ago and it was SEXY! Interior was fine for me.. it came with Navi, the gauges at speedo were very nice CUE LOOKED nice but i really disliked the touch-sensitive buttons and the UI was a bit slow..
still sexy and definitely agree with J's sentiment of Cadillac "keeping up"

That is a good deal. I think you will be in a Vagon in less than a year. I am calling it now.

It's weird... I'm still seeing them in the mid-40's except for the newer ones which are higher. But once in a while you'll see one like that. So the deals are out there, especially now as a chunk of the country heads towards winter (which is not optimal time to sell a RWD 556+ hp car), so you just need to look.
Wait a year and pick one up next fall/winter... prices should be awesome by then

Well Majofo got junior addicted. Then I saw JBs Vagon in person and I was addicted. So the trail of people with track marks continues.
