neuronbob's NAIAS picture thread--56k warning

I took over 100 pictures while I was at NAIAS yesterday. These are a sample of what I took. Sorry if I didn't get to your favorite concept. I went mostly to see the new NSX and once I did that, everything else was secondary. Enjoy!

EDIT: Images resized to thumbnail. To see the full-sized images just click on the thumbnails.

A driven CTS-V is a filthy, yet loved CTS-V. My V on the way back from Detroit:

Poor Mini. This was on the way into the Cobo Arena, on a truck:

Acura NSX:

ILX

Inside the ILX. I always wondered what was in those concept cars...

RDX

Dodge Dart

Super Bee

VW Beetle

Prius C?

Our nation's finest patrolling the Detroit River, keeping those pesky Canadians at bay :

BMW M5. This was WAY crowded, and the rear of the car was only a couple of feet from the wall, so good pictures were not possible. Anyhoo, my attempt:

Minis

Kia Soul. It looks much more expensive inside than it really is, except for the plasticky-feeling steering wheel.

Kia Optima

The only thing good-looking about the Chrysler 700C concept is the model standing next to it.

Very nice student model of a potential S2000 successor. Of course, being the one displayed, it will not be produced, I'm sure.

Another student model

Cadillac ATS. I love the Art and Science motif and the ATS carries it off well. it is a SMALL car in person.

6.2 liter LS-A engine. It's in my CTS-V.

2013 Malibu

Hot Wheels Camaro concept. The ladies (including mine) were the ones commenting on this color scheme.

Camaro ZL1 convertible

Chevrolet Miray concept

Chevy personal vehicle.

Mustang Boss

Thanks for the pics Bob!

Does the ATS look smaller than a 3 Series Bimmer?

It's about the same size and I think it will compete on that alone. Who would have thought Cadillac would be the latest to horn in on the 3's domain? Go USA!

Can't wait to get the chance to drive one. Hope it drives like they say, and is a TRUE 3 series competitor.

Good stuff, thanks!

What did you think of the dart in person?

Hey Sarlacc, the Dart is great-looking in person. It's about the size of the Neon that preceded it. I think it will sell very well.

Excellent coverage!

The green Hot Wheels Camaro was at SEMA when I attended. I love that colored chrome finish.

Those are some nice pictures. The Chevy Miray is a great looking concept. It should be interested to see what that develops into.

I'm still not smitten with the ILX and I honestly believe abandoning the TSX is a bad move. But, I do like the styling on the 2G RDX. It looks like a scaled down version of the current generation MDX. (Not unlike the new X3 resembling the the E70.)

Oh yeah!! The Boss 302? I'll take one in black, thank you!

Resized images to thumbnail to address those with bandwidth issues. Was delayed in doing so because work has been busy the last few days. If you want to see the originals, click on the thumbnails.

Tomorrow is the last day of the show, if those local to it want to go. Hey 65 Fury, I drove in from Cleveland early in the AM and drove back in the PM. Cleveland is only a 2.5 hour drive from Detroit, so it was an easy day trip.

Love the pics, especially your CTS-V! I'm looking at possibly replacing my M45 for one.

went there last Monday, I have to admit I was mostly blown away with the line up Chrystler had to offer. The new 300C with the partnership of Dr Dre beats for the audio blew me away. Even turned up all the way with the windows up of course you could barely hear outside, very good sound deadening.

I also fell in absolute love with the Audi S7, I can def see myself having one in the future.

CTS-V wagon also was one sexy beast!

As for the M5 yeah it was sooo crowded and in a tight space, my friend used the black marble walls reflection to get a nice shot of the ass.
