the manuals in any model IS are god awful. stay away.

if your budget is 6500, i would not look at cars that have a sticker in the high 20s and above. it is just too much depreciation to overlook.

i agree. dumping a TL for a spur of the moment $6500 "sports car" doesnt make sense. you will voluntarily be adding automotive misery to your life.

By today's standards maybe not, but the car did 0-60 in 7.3 and the 1/4 mile in 15.4 and a top speed over 140pmh. Back in the early 90's that was pretty respectable for most cars. No manual transmission though although the JDM spec had 4 wheel steering.

wasnt exactly a spur of the moment decision. i felt it was time to move on and i have always liked the Z. wanted to move to something RWD from FWD since i track my TL currently.

i will continue saving until i can buy a turbo 300zx and mod it further or get a used 335/s2k

With one of those, you can mod it with a 1JZ / 2JZ hybrid (think Supra motor) and have a beast.

I was looking at SC's for 6 months..all the clean examples are either overpriced, beige/green, or V8's.

Why not a 240SX? You can get them for much less than $6500, you can either save the rest, or invest it into the car to have a very clean example.
