ONCE AGAIN:
Hill is KNOWN FOR SELLING WRECKED CARS!!! I have personally seen him do it over and over and over again!!! You would be amazed at how much can be kept OFF carfax and out of dealerships systems.
Get your money back and do research next time around. He does not even have any feedback on ebay.
The warning signs are right in your face and all over the net

thank god for my parents...i would never do this, stop embarrassing 20 year olds, go take a capital investment or finance class and learn the value of money.
after you get out of this with your $1500 loss, i would reconsider spending that much on a car. you can get a badass car for $25,000, buy it cash, and save or invest the rest.
im sorry to say but you have a lot to learn, as do i, but im just saying you should have never got this far in this mess....and if it wasn't for Azine, you would be out $50,000!

I think I got this...although everyone else has. You barely made enough to get the M3 you wanted, found one for a great deal, and it was probably the only one you can afford. Then it is a big scam. Now you have to work another 2 months at least to afford a decent one. Seriously, you live in Queens, just look for a local one, there ought to be one there. Oh and make sure you check online next time...there is a lot of important things on their. It is a sad to see the Hill family continuing this shit.

Hope this works out for you and you can get your $1500 back from them. But I agree with the guys above. Take that 28k and invest it somewhere, or better yet invest it in yourself. Screw buying a house @ 20, go to college (I'm guessing you haven't if you're working 3 jobs). Then you can get into a career that will let you work less and make way more money. Then you can afford to fly out to BMW Welt in Munich and pick up a brand new one and run it on the autobahn.

Dave, sorry to hear that you're going through all this. It would really suck if you set yourself up to get screwed, and I really really hope we're all wrong, but so far all roads are leading to this being a scam
You're in Queens, right? I think you should pay this finance guy a visit, he's closer to you than anything:
American General Finance
6637 Grand Ave
Maspeth, NY 11378-2540
(718) 335-6094
Also, I read a few posts on some guys saying that the pics could have been taken at a dealer auction which is possible, I pasted the VIN in the search on the auction site and got 0 results, so I added the VIN number to my saved searches online at the auction I go to, so when and if that VIN number gets entered into the auction's system in the next 60 days, i'll get an e-mail notification about it to any auction affilitated with Manheim across the country.

CL in lawnmower status
good idea man by deciding to save it
i actually have a buddy just like you, works a lot, no college or university, and saves up.
makes less than any of our friends but has a $40000 05 corvette. Basically paid for the whole thing cash.
It's pretty crazy to have, but with having a newer high performance car like that, you're gonna lose money due to depreciation, and probably even more if you start modding it.
But it's your choice, your life, you have to learn some of these things for yourself.
I've learned a little bit myself as far as modding cars as i've seen lots of people i know spend tens of thousands of dollars on their cars, only to be used as mostly show/track cars later on, and end up selling them for a huge loss when they finally get bored of them.
hopefully you'll get your money back tho, if not it's a costly lesson...do your research first

I'm sure there are good deals out there that aren't on ebay and are from reputable dealers. Ebay is great and all, but I could never buy a car...much less a $50,000 one sight unseen.
I'm not saying don't get an M3...but I think after your first experience it would be better to inform the dealer that you would like to put in an offer, but it being contingent on reasonable approval by you after a self inspection at the dealer/lot. That's the only way I'd continue to try the ebay thing. Go look at the car.

OP: I'm sorry, but you seem to think that by going to a small dealer you will be able to find a 2008 or 2009 at a bargain price. Well, unless you are a very close personal friend, they are used car salesman. They will tell/sell you anything to get your money (no offense Shoofin). There are very reputable dealers out there, but my advice would be to do these things regardless if you get your money back on the sour deal:
1. Don't get an M3 right now. You can put money away in a savings account that can't be touched unless you walk in and take it out. No ATM card. This can be the big down payment.
2. Get a CPO car from a good dealer, or talk to Shoofin. I'm sure he can get you a car that would be better for your budget and not kill you over the next few years (remember, tires for an M3 run about $250 and up).
3. If an M3 is the only car you will accept, then maybe a 2003 or 2004 would work. They are older, but look hot as hell, and would be a bit less of a dent on the finances.
4. Or keep the TL and save as in Number 1 above.
Hell, I'm 41 and have a really good job, but have never owned a new car. The closest I came was a 1 year old Volvo, and even that was only $26K.

I will look around through some of my sources to see if I can also find something for him, CPO or not.
ALSO, FYI, independent dealers (like me) will soon be able to CPO a car in a similar manner as the factory CPO programs, and the consumer would be able to service it at any service station, IIRC independent or dealership...
I am a member of POADA (Pre-Owned Automobile Dealer's Alliance), which will give me CPO ability: http://www.poada.biz/news/carmark-ce...ome-states-may
CarMark Certified Becomes Reality in Some States in May
POADA officials recently announced that the CarMark Certified Program, a CPO program exclusively available to POADA members, is expecting its initial launch next month. Initially, the program will be available to dealers in nearly half the states, with the remainder of the states expected to approve the new program by mid-summer.
“We are very excited about the CarMark rollout,” said Bill Zadeits, POADA’s managing director. “The CarMark CPO program will greatly expand the inventory of certified vehicles for dealers, and because certification is so hot in the marketplace, those dealers will make more money.”
The CarMark Certified Program is being developed for the POADA by APCO/EasyCare, a national leader in providing automobile dealers with vehicle warranty, service contract and other programs for more than 25 years. The CarMark program will provide customers with all of the customary CPO benefits; including powertrain warranty coverage (a 6-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty for most vehicles and a 12-month /12,000-mile powertrain warranty for higher mileage vehicles). Dealers will also be able to offer customers the opportunity to wrap the CPO warranty in the F&I office for those customers desiring comprehensive of longer periods of coverage.
Zadeits noted that POADA research showed that there is no “set CPO standard” as the certification programs run by manufacturers vary widely. “Our goal was to develop an equivalent program, one that dealers could easily utilize in their dealerships to increase consumer confidence and by association, sales and profits. CarMark certainly achieves that goal.”
CarMark Certified vehicles must fall within pre-determined age and mileage restrictions, must pass visual and a 100+ point inspection and be reconditioned to CarMark standards. In addition to the powertrain coverage, CarMark customers will also receive other benefits such as nationwide repair service should a breakdown occur, a full CARFAX vehicle history report, rental car reimbursement, towing reimbursement, trip-interruption insurance, tire and wheel road hazard protection and emergency roadside assistance.
Dave DeCredico, APCO’s senior vice president of marketing and insurance, indicated that operational issues are being finalized this month so that CarMark can be made available to dealers in May. He said that about half the states required additional regulatory approvals before CarMark can be made available to dealers in those particular states. He added that the process is being initiated at the present time in an effort to make the program available to all dealers as quickly as possible.
Dealers interested in knowing more about CarMark and how to begin offering CarMark Certified to customers can call toll-free (800) 628-4635 for more information. A representative from APCO/EasyCare is also available to call on the dealer.
Zadeits said CarMark Certified will appeal to all dealer groups. Franchise dealers can use CarMark to certify non-brand vehicles on the pre-owned lot; former franchise and independent dealers will now have access to a national, OEM-equivalent certification program. Due to the universal appeal to all dealer groups, CarMark is expected to become a national leader among CPO programs within a few short years.

OP: As a community, we try to guide and help point you in the right direction. Shoofin is gonna try and help you out. It also seems like you're in a BIG hurry to purchase a vehicle, and that's when people get bamboozeled. Please slow down to take the time to research what you are getting into. That is all.
