My edited clips from ChicagoAutoShow (small files this time)

OK folks. Sorry to post this again, but last time the files were too large in MPEG2 and many folks, although willing to watch them, could not put themselves into the trouble of downloading 150MB+ files. Even for broadband this is too large for a 3-4 minute clip.

Anyway, after a TON of research (as a newbie), I found the way to make the files 1/10 the size while preserving about 2/3rds of the quality of MPEG2.

Here is the link of 11 clips. I have a few more that I will be uploading soon and a few in the works. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Thanks. More to come. Make sure you have the sound on high. Made them with the music in mind. I am now re-editing the G6-GTO-Grand Prix one with a ton more music synchs and it looks/sounds great up to now. Will post tomorrow probably.

The last 1/3 is really cool. I am getting better with exact synchs to the beat. Watch the Grand Prix part at the end with the music loud and with good base cos that is where the changes happen. On the drum boot.

Thanks. Actually I now use a lot less transitions than in my first clips. The difference is timing.

This is the hardest to do of all tricks. Timing the music with the video. At least it is very difficult with the editing equipment I have, which is not professional of course.

You will notice that the latest clips change scenes on the music beat, or music logical segments. The easiest way to see that is to, listen to the song first and then see how the video fits on the song.

Thanks though.

I need to get a DVD+R or -R folks. ALso I need a new Hard Drive. A 120G will be minimum since 1 hour of DV video is 13Gigs! Of course I am luck to be able to archive on DV tapes for now. I cant even start to imagine how much more it will be when we get to the point where HDTV camcorders eventually make it to the hands of amatures like (when their price gets under $1000 like DV today). One hour might be 25Gigs, etc.

Editing, rendering and archiving video is such a pain folks with all the standard wars. It's a mess, but it's getting there. MPEG4 will make a big difference it looks like.
