My DRC in the RS4 failed....AGAIN!

I posted on Audizine, and I want to post here as well to get a less biased view.

Heres my options... Didnt want to do this so early in the game BUUUT....

Option 1: Ohlin Motorsports:
http://www.stasisengineering.com/Cat...ID=208&PID=171

Option 2: Stasis SL's:
http://www.stasisengineering.com/Cat...ID=208&PID=185

Option 3: KW V3 variants:
http://kw-suspension.com/en/30_Produ...nt_3/index.php

All three are excelent, obviously the Motorsports are the best, but Im not sure I can justify the price for the "extras" esp since I will not be tracking this car. What do you guys think????

No idea, but is this by chance the same suspension system they're using the TT-RS...the magnetic particles in the shock oil to control dampening/rebound?

I'd go Ohlins ... very popular and if you ever take them off there'd be a line of people looking to buy them off you.

Unfortunately, it seems the DRCs do fail ... I wish Audi would step up on this.

Beyond ridiculous having to replace the suspension on a 2008 vehicle at a cost of over $2k, in particular a car like that!

The manufacturer/dealer would be fixing it or the car would be Lemon Lawed - completely unacceptable.

Yea they made it right, there was a TSB out on it anyways. Some Audi techs flew in from Germany to help pressurize and optimize the system correctly.

All this technology they're releasing is downright hilarious. Yeah, it hypes you up for the car but its just another way for them to make a shit load of money when it goes bad...and it will go bad because its designed to go bad

Not entirely true. Dealers are reimbursed by corporate for warranty work. Of course they make much more money for non-warranty work... but they do get a little something for warranty work.

Yea my dealer is also fanastic, they treat me very well. Typically the higher up you go, the better they treat you. Can't imagine how Bentley/Lambo dealers treat their customers!

BMW had issues with fancy suspension systems going bad on early model M cars. Most of the owners of those cars just replaced them with more conventional parts.

Exactly, IF I keep the car for that long Ohlin SL's please! FWIW, the stock DRC system is fantastic at keeping body roll at a minimum, and helps keep the car very stable at high speeds. I have no complaints at all when its working, which it has been just fine since the updated rev B was installed last summer.

I wanted 4 doors, AWD, and a high strung V8. The E90 wasn't out then, not to mention it doesn't look as good, not to mention no AWD. Plus BMW interiors are less than savory in my opinion. I keep up just fine with new M's anyways. Once APR releases the RS SC kit, I'll be in 11 second territory!
