My Check Engine Light is on...
Let your wife tighten the gas cap before you go to the dealer, could take a few days for the code to clear if that was the problem, or pull the battery cable for 15 min, but I'm not sure if she feels like getting her hands dirty after a long day at work.

after 10 min, use the rag(so you don't touch the terminal) and twist the cable back on the terminal.
use socket or wrench to tighten nut.
once the nut starts to become tight, tighten it just a little bit more to make sure it is secure. this is called "snugging it"

Not that it matters much, but as long as the light isn't flashing its nothing serious. When it flashes, that's when you know you're screwed!
Another possible solution, if the battery doesn't fix it, is to track down a local member who has an OBDII scanner, it would literally take 30 seconds.

If you get a chance to see this thread before electrocuting yourself, is there a separate "check gas cap" light on the instrument panel?
If not, you may be OK to drive around a little while to see if the light goes off-- sometimes a slightly loose gas cap permits enough vapors to activate the CEL, which will then go off a couple of days after tightening the cap and driving normally.

Turn "710" upside down (think "blonde" joke).
When you turn the ignition to "on" (or before pushing the start button) when all the warning lights come on in the instrument panel for a few seconds to show that they are operating-- is there a separate light for "check gas cap?"
If there is, but it goes out once the car has started, then it's not the gas cap, but something else (which means see the dealer, preferably without wiping out the code).
If there is no such "gas cap" light, then the CEL may be on because of the formerly loose gas cap.

I'm not sure if Infiniti used theft protected nav and radios, but if they do, make sure you know where you codes are. You will most likely need them after disconnecting the battery.

I haven't refilled the tank yet, could that reset it?
