I haven't heard the Stasis Exhaust for the B7 S4, but I gotta say that I'm very happy with the Stasis Exhaust on my B7 A4. Best exhaust on the market for the B7 A4 IMHO. Sounds deep and throaty, not obnoxiously loud at all from the interior cabin. You'll get a little drone when accelerating at the higher gears, but that's common for any exhaust.

I know a lot of guys back in the day used Magnaflow mufflers and they weren't that expensive and sounded great.

The problem is try to get the tips to have that staggered look because the B7s have quad exhausts. If it were a B6 I would have already got the mufflers. I might try a muffler delete and save some money for down the road and get a full JHM setup.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure it'll sound great. Listening to 4.2 V8s with unresonated Milltek catbacks was always one of my favorite things to do on Youtube

I've been catching a lot of flack on Audizine for keeping the car. It makes this decision hard because everyone is telling me to get rid of it. One thing I have to say is Acurazine is much more supportive and I like this forum worlds better. Better support and understanding rather than getting flamed for everything.

I thought I read a page or two back that one of the cylinders compression was below the posted wear limit. 125 compared to a limit of 130. That's what would have scared me off, your brave for keeping it IMO but it's not anyones duty here to tell you what you should do.

As an observation, what I find interesting is that in the boating community it's fairly standard practice to have a compression check done when buying a used boat or outboard, however in the auto community I would consider it a rarity. This may be due to the fact that tracking "age or hours" on boat motors is much more difficult to ascertain versus the odometer in a car, but it seems like cheep insurance for your rather large investment.

I am still debating whether or not to keep the car. I know I said I was going to and I was just going to get an extended warranty but it's difficult when there are a bunch of people telling you to try and bring it back. I'm actually going to look at a 2007 Type S tomorrow just to keep my options open if I do end up bringing it back, and there is an S4 in NY I've been keeping my eye on just in case.

I would try to take it back if I were you. Not because of the problems or whatever that you've had but because, and I'm not sure if you're the same way as I am, when you've got it in you're head that something could be wrong with your new car that you just purchased and are looking at different cars, you'll never be as happy with your current one.

I've always been that way too I always think that there is a problem with my car even if it is perfect that is just the way I am I guess. I call it precautionary lol

Keeping it is of course your decision. If you don't need it as a DD, have large cash reserves and lots of skills or patience, is an easy positive move. The more of those that aren't true, the more difficult the decision. G/L either way.

Today I decided that I should detail everything but the paint, here are the interior pics that were requested. I also took some pictures of the engine bay and exhaust tips.

Here is what lies ahead of me as far as the exterior goes. By far the worst that I have ever detailed it has everything severe swirls, rids, etc. I did test the trunk and noticed how hard the clear coat is. But I will get this done once I order some supplies in the near future.

^ I was gonna say, you're gonna have a fun time trying to get Audi clearcoat to submit

Clean car! Audi is king of car interiors, IMO.

Do you know what those plastic hook things on the lower sides of the centre console are for? My car has them as well.

I have no idea I was thinking the same thing, maybe they are for cargo nets?

I will probably use the Meguiar's microfiber cutting pads for the first stage, then either use the microfiber finishing pads or foam pads to polish it with M205, maybe use Menzerna po85, and finally top it with Dodo Juice Purple Haze.

So I got the cel read today because the place I bought the car from couldn't fit me in till tomorrow. It read as p0171 which is bank 1 too lean I'm assuming that is a maf problem. Anyways the cel has since turned off without being cleared but I will still bring it in tomorow.

LOVE that two-tone interior!

Good luck with the CEL. It's these types of issues that make me hesitant about purchasing an Audi, but I'll probably end up with one if I can't find my KBP 3G TL.

I'm not going to guarantee that it's this but if someone talks about a CEL in an Audi, my first guess is a coilpack.

Do Audis have some sort of VAG-COM equivalent or will any OBDII reader be fine?

They use VAG-COM. Or at least did through the B7 era.

Audi in my opinion makes without a doubt the best interior on the market in the price range. But for instance me and my dad went to the Autoshow last month and sat in an 2013 A4 prestige. Although the interior more less looks the same as the interior in my dads S5 we both agreed that some of the materials just didn't feel as nice as they do in the S5. The leather on the seats didn't feel as nice to the touch and didn't look as nice either. I thought that was sort of interesting. But Audi also makes the best sounding V8's I love the car man, i actually was looking into a B7 S4/RS4 instead of my Golf just because of that killer 4.2L V8 and i love the look of the B7's especially the RS4. My dads buddy drove an RS4 with a miltek and that car sounded absolutely amazing. We used to own a '08 S5 coupe with AWE exhaust and downpipes, my dad would wake up the neighbors in the morning going to work. Anyways the car looks awesome man! I love the white Alcantara inserts in the seats!
