My B7 S4

As some of you may know my TL was recently totaled, I just replaced it with a 2006 Black Audi S4. Here are some pics, enjoy!

Awesome. Congrats. I had a 2005 I sold around 50k miles.

The only things that you're really going to have to worry about right now that I know are the auxiliary radiators and the control arms.

Keep an eye on the aux radiators (they're in lower airdam on each side) in case they rust or puncture. The control arms seem to wear a little faster than other cars.

Enjoy it in good health. I really miss mine.

Awesome

and exactly what charliemike said, design of those arms are pretty good and much better than other cars but wear faster than others

Sweet S4!

Any reasons why you chose this car specifically?

The RS4 would have been twice as much. :/

I mostly chose it because its AWD (I live in a snowy state), and for its exceptional handling.

Well the Audi love/hate relationship begins. The car just started misfiring, ill be bringing it to the dealer tomorrow. I'm hoping it's just the coil packs, MAF, or spark plugs and not something major like the timing chain assembly or scored cylinder walls.

We had a B7 A4 and we loved it. One of our favorite cars we've ever had and pretty much bulletproof. The S4 will be a little more maintenance (as you're already experiencing), but hopefully you have a good dealer and you'll be all set.

Enjoy

Thanks guys, the good news is I bought from a European service shop and not a dealer so I have a good place to go for maintenance and repairs. I'm actually here now getting a coil pack replaced.

There was a coilpack recall at one point that covered the S4. You should check with the local Audi dealer and see if they were ever replaced.

If not, you're probably entitled to new ones.

Seems like coil packs are a common issue on the 4.2 motor. I replaced mine at the beginning of the year on my Q7.

She's a beauty. Try to keep it under 100

Congrats! IIRC, the V8's are also known to burn oil like the 2.0T, so keep an eye on your oil levels.

^^ I just learned from an audizine member (former owner of this car), that they sold it due to scored cylinder walls. It looks like I am going to return it because I doubt they will give me a brand new engine.
