I am eagerly awaiting the release of the '15's... So I can get a screaming deal on a '14

The sound of a Mustang is like no other. I love everything you have done with her.

thanks man! Funny you mention that, but my neighbors are actually pretty cool with it. In fact, they encourage a healthy rev and semi burn out every once in a while

Yeah, get your hands on a 14 before it's too late! I think order banks close end of April. Obviously, I prefer my 12 styling, but the 13/14's aren't bad, but the 15s?

Decided to take the pm off to finish detailing Marilyn. I had to get her ready for our date (wife and I) for dinner and gelato.

Gave her her once a year light polish.

Flex DA
LC Gray pad
Menzerna Super Finish

then

LC Blue pad
CG Blacklight

I didn't have time to use CG V7 on her, so for now, just Blacklight as the LSP. I'll be detailing her more on Sunday anyways…probably a coat of Victoria Red by then.

Here's some in process pics to show her SWIRL FREE finish. Reflections against light source are key to show "true" finish.

And here's the outside glamour shots, against the true swirl revealer = the SUN.

Thanks man! True, mostly swirl free, but very light swirls are inevitable from just washing and drying and waxing. The once a year light polish takes care of all that

As for mods, thanks! Hopefully soon, rear coilovers (steeda springs on adjustable perches), then front coilovers on steeda springs too.

btw nice choice on the koni yellows.
my 2011 GT is sitting on hotchkis springs and yellows and a bunch of other stuff: steeda, whiteline, BMR.
also whose tune did you go with? BBR? or the magnuson tune?

You got a pony and an Acura too?

I'm actually on steeda competition fronts (225 lb/in) then rear adjustable springs in back (steeda calls them coilovers) at 200 lb/in.

Also, at the moment I'm on the magnuson tune. They have a very good in house tuner who writes the tunes that go with their kits. I spoke with them prior to them shipping the kit, so they know what type of mods I had. I have a host of other mods similar to yours as well.

Pony for weekends, Acura for daily! Ftw!!!

Strong work all around man. On a side note, the never ending battle between the cobro's and the 5.bro's on SVTP is entertaining.

I just picked up a Porter Cable. Was thinking of just using the LC white pad and the Menzerna polish. What do you think of the success with that 1 step procedure?

Yeah I need to become a member on that forum still. A few dooshes on there though.

As for the PC and white pad, it all depends on how bad your swirls are. If they're pretty deep, the white won't touch it. You'll probably need an orange pad. And then you'll probably need a gray pad to finish it. Kinda like ultra fine sandpaper to finish a sanding job. You don't want to just end on the semi fine sandpaper right? Up to you, but I always end on gray.

I was hoping to get it dyno'd last weekend, but the rack was all full since bob kurgan was in town. So maybe next month. Power wise, should be around 625-650 at the crank, so around 550 or so whp? At least that's what other folks are putting down.

Finished detailing her yesterday and this morning.

After a good wash, Marilyn was coated in CG Blacklight, Pete's 53, then V7. I stuck with Chemical Guys this weekend.

Here's the photos.

First set are more natural, unedited to show the true finish of the car.

Now I go into my more playful shots Enjoy.

Luckily I found an empty garage, all to myself… :metal: I tell you what, those Corsas in an empty garage… ooh la la. :stirpot:

My last pic, I like to call, "BOO!"…
