1 for one will never buy a 1st model year of a redesigned car....too many quirks to work out...
I would wait for the 2nd year or even 3rd year of a 4-5 yr model to get the most of the car

Wanted the dark motif hehe.As for the 2015… I dunno. I want to see one first. I'll never sell/trade mine, regardless. I'd get another one along with it
Very nice! There was a supercharged Mach1 for sale at a local car show this past weekend. Had the wheels in my head turning, but I think my wife would divorce me if I came how with it lol.
See next post!
Update: Went to the Cars and Coffee today for a show and dyno! They had a superflow dyno. I hope waking up at 4:45 am to drive 2 hours to cool down in time, was finally worth it. Turns out, it was finally a success.
We arrived there at 7:15. Parked, and put my name in for the dyno shootout. I let 2 other guys get on before me. I got on, around 9. Almost 2 hours of cool down would hopefully do the trick. Temp was 70ish…hardly any humidity. Perfect.
Got strapped on within minutes. And his "setup" time, literally took many 5 minutes tops. Started the car, and within a couple minutes of additional set up and sync time, we literally did our first pull.

510 whp and 434 wtq
Waited about 15 minutes with 2 fans on, then did it again.

Finally!!! Redemption! Numbers where I wanted to be! (sortta…lol) 521 whp and 446 wtq. 15 to 20% loss, puts me at what, between 615 and 650 crank hp? Best part of all this, is the torque curve. I love that plateau. Starts before 3500 rpm and stays. That's why I prefer an SC over a turbo.
I really think the key was how awesome the dyno guy was. I mean he was FAST. Strap. Set up. Go. No f*ing around, no dinking around with other mumbo jumbo runs that get me all heat soaked. Remember the other 2??? I mean Christ…they were getting me all heat soaked AND entering all the data wrong.
So anyways, those are the numbers. 8.5lbs of boost. I'll take it. Thanks for bearing with me the last couple months on this fiasco of getting properly dyno'd.
Up next for mods? CF driveshaft and maybe an upgraded Heat Exchanger/Dual fans, etc… I need some cooling upgrades
Here's the pics:
The heartbreaker itself!!!

Waiting to get on the dyno NEXT!!!

Getting set up….

Here's the vids. 1st one is his ONLY "setup run". Notice how quick it is. He knew what he was doing. No wasting time getting heat soaked. We ran right after.
And here's the vid of the 1st pull. The 2nd pull I didn't get a good video of
Either way, the Corsas are on full blare…
Then after the show, my buddy Mike and I went to lunch…this is his 07 C6.

And then just one HDR shot for you guys:

dude thats effin impressive....
about the losses, that is highly debatable (only because of the blower in the equation)...depending on your blower efficiency you will have to calculate the losses...without the blower, the rule of thump is 12-15% for MT and the AT loose around 20% (take the TL for example), the Base 5AT comes in at 256 HP and puts down are 210 (46 HP lost which is about 20%)...the Base 6MT puts down around 225whp (31 hp lost ~12%) ....same rule applies to the Type S....
either way, what impressive is not only the 460WTQ but as you mentioned also the TQ curve....looks like an effin table top...and all that awesome TQ downlow....damn....
I hope you bring the bread next time coz we all jelly

. I do admit I get beat a few times too. Some monster cars out there so I take my lickings too
Thanks Phil! Yes, I love that shot too. My favorite of the bunch!
Corsa ftw!!!

So with the drivetrain loss, how much loss you think is for my setup? Between 15 and 20% right? Yeah the torque is my favorite. She pulls like a freight train throughout the rev range pretty much.
haha
You mean "only" 9lbs of boost? Lol. Imagine if I put 10-15 or more. Lol. Some guys do that, and they're putting down 700 or more to the wheels. But I'm not stupid. Until I upgrade my block, tranny, rear end, etc, she's staying at her current power levels. I'm satisfied.
...at "only" 9lbs of boost
Install is complete. I absolutely love the results. Dechromed/black housing, with 6000k halo COB's. I don't even need the fogs on.
Meanwhile, here's the pics at dusk.

And here's the pics of them lit...

I much prefer no fog lights… just halos.

And here she is all tucked away… waiting to pounce another day.

Oh gosh, that is really sick. Nice work.
But for me, the amber corners really throw it off. Are they always on? I think it'd look better without them if possible.
Blue car + blueish lights = amazing.

I have to say I love the 6th pic...this one

SICK !!!
about SC compressor efficiency, it also matters the size of the SC with repsect to the engine...for example a comptech sc on the TL with all supporting mods makes only another 30-40hp more....which is a tune in the case of a 5.0 motor....the SC on your car makes triple digits (with a tune and supporting mods) if am not mistaken....

just realized this might be the first time someone (the both of us) are discussing bhp when we have whp numbers....just realized that and
-d
usually its the other way around hahaha

But yes, I can switch those amber switchbacks to 6000k switchbacks. I have them all at the ready (thanks VLEDS!). As far as having them on without the parking lights, I'd either have to wire it always hot, or install a switch.

FYI, which pic did you reference in your quote? That was your pic I think?
Thanks sir!!! I appreciate it.
