Some of you have seen some pics of Marilyn, my non-daily driver, but I figured I'd post up some better pics of her. I drive her only when Tori (TSX) is garaged...

Bio:

2012 Ford Mustang GT, purchased new in 11/2011. She was ordered and built to my liking. No one drove it except off the truck and I was there to supervise and watch it 6.3 miles off the truck from factory. She now has 1750 miles on her, and I've enjoyed every single mile on her. She's by far my favorite "toy" car that I've owned (yes more so than my TT 3rd gen RX7, G35 coupe, or 370z). She NEVER sees rain, always cared for and detailed by me. No swirls, scratches, marring, etc... she's a virgin I switched from the Z to the 5.0 because I now have 2 sons, and bringing them with me is ideal

OEM equipment:

• 6 speed manual
• Brembo package
• HID's
• Security package

Modifications: (listed in order of when they were installed)

• 35% tint fronts
• 20% tint rears
• Clear Bra all over, including custom pieces
• GT500 axle backs (favorite mod)
• MGW shifter/knob (also favorite mod hehehe.)
• FRPP K springs (also favorite mod...can I have 3 favorites?)
• BMR adjustable panhard bar
• Hoen fogs
• GT500 mudflaps
• MRT struts
• Boss coil covers
• 3DCarbonn500 spoiler

Car looks incredible and I can't decide which color looks best either. I would say white to break things up but I like how the black blends haha

 

Haha... Thanks man. Yeah noob when it comes to the tsx (tho I've had several Hondas and acuras in past), but not a noob when it comes to cars. Been loving cars and working on them since I was 16

 

Thanks man! At first I was like, "my car is blue (kona)" but then I realized you were talking about the knobs. . But yes I can't decide either, but it takes but 1 minute to switch, so I'll keep doing that.

I was gonna say 3 new 5.0s in 3 weeks? But you had your car way before us. I like how you have your 9500ix like that, I do the exact same thing with the cord.

hey pttl... you saw my response in your thread too? Congrats too buddy. You will love this car. The torque is to die for. And it just looks mean... the front end if my favorite view.

btw, no drone from the axle backs. They're stock oem Shelby mufflers, so definitely no drone. I might switch out some day to something louder, but for now I am very happy with it. btw, you should lower your car asap. No stang owner should have to drive a 4x4...

Thanks dom. Yeah the lowering springs were a must. No 4x4 look anymore. Pttl and Spider need to do this ASAP.

And your comment about Mustangzine... that's funny because when I was on 370z.com, when I had a Z, folks started selling/trading in their cars for the 5.0. One after another... followed by me too lol. Then the same thing was happening to that forum.

These new stangs are such great cars. Anyone who does their research and drives them knows they drive SO much better than before, their quality is much much much improved, and it's just SO much fun to drive.

Yup, I just got a 2013 GT. I have pics of my car a couple of threads down.
It's an amazing car. Just passed 800 miles today in 2 weeks of owning the car. I might pass 1,000 by the end of the day or close to it with what I have planned.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, I am in love with the color. That's truly the main reason why I got a 2012. Ford dropped kona blue for 2013... Not sure why. But I could have gotten a 13 but when saw that there was no kona, I quickly ran to my dealer and ordered a 12 before the order banks closed.

thanks man... but yeah, the color in person will blow you away. It did me. Pictures still don't do it justice. metallic blue mostly, with purple hues in the right light (due to metallic red flakes)

yeah HDR rocks! You just need 2 or more shots at different exposure levels, then you just need a program to blend them all in. I use a Mac.

Beautiful car and great pics; they look like they came straight out of a Mustang brochure or something.

I actually considered a 5.0 Mustang when I was car shopping, but decided to go with another Sedan. As I said in another thread I really like what Ford did with the new Stangs. Great looking car in and out.
