If it has no cats doesn't that mean it is a pre-production car with a "black listed" VIN #, so you can't register or insure it?

They won't be out until early to mid October....but they will be few and far between. You will see alot more of them come spring time.

Job 1 is like Sep 18th or something like that, so yeah October sounds about right. I dont know why they are waiting till fall to launch the car tho, sales wont be so stellar in the northern states, thats when SUV's start selling well.

 

Ok, so I got a V8 manual 4.6L today.

Positives:

Short shifter, really fun to drive. Really fast. Looks great (outside). Very powerful... really throws you back in your seat... I haven't had the chance to really let it rip yet, I'll try and do that later tonight... It is a real head turner though, and it has no cats in the back, so sounds great!!! It also handles really really well. Very low to the ground!

Negatives:

Interior is crap - looks really cheap, and feels even cheaper. Seat isn't as comfortable as CL, but better than most fords. Has a whole lot of squeaks, rattles and stuff, but that could be b/c it is a test vehicle. Wheels are 2 small... mine are crap, but again a test car.

There are some really pretty colors they're making this in. I think this will be a hit. Quality will be crap, but it will be fun to drive. Look for the Cobra & Convertible in 2006!!!

That thing looks like its been beat like a $3 hooker.

Why do you say that quality is crap? The production coupe I sat in was much much nicer than the current gen. While the plastic's werent exactly the best made, for mid 20's it was very acceptable.

Inside the material is very plasticy. Could just be the test car. Can't expect mroe for the price I guess. A lot of fun to drive though!
