I was driving behind a CL Type-S today that had that orange metallic color that seemed to be all the rage a few years ago. It occurred to me that I haven't seen many of those cars lately, especially on dealer lots. Is that fad over yet?

I think that color is a little played out now, although the newest gen Mits Eclipse have a shade of it.

I liked some of the oranges Honda/Acura offered on their cars. The NSX and RSX orange was nice. Also Honda offered a orange S2000 in Canada few years ago that was pretty nice.

Yeah, Pimp Daddy Gold was a great color. I'd love the color, but don't think I could own a car that was painted that color...

i never liked the look in photographs, but there's a CL in my area that always catches my eye.. i think it can look really good, but can easily look ghetto fab

I like the color too actually, but I would never buy a car in that color. Good luck selling it later.

the 2001 PDG CL-S was what got me into the dealers.

I just couldn't afford it at the time

they also use it on the Solstice and the Cobalts have a similiar color

I have a PDG; it's one of the very few cars that can pull a gold/orange-metallic color off very well.

Man, I miss my pdg CL-S. It was my first color choice for that car (not to mention it was easy to find in a parking lot). Hope that color stays around and doesn't become just a fad. Would have to say it looks best on sports/sporty cars (with the fx being the exception).

Yeah I've seen that GM color on several cars. It was a special order color a few years ago across their entire line. Ever see an Impala in that color

i traded my PDG 01 cl-s in for an 08 NBP TL, and to tell you the truth, i miss the CL more than i would've thought...the compliments out-numbered the complaints 5:1, maybe more...god i miss that thing, thanks OP for depressing the balls out of me!

and the rest of the "posers" in the auto industry, give it up...never gonna be a shade of orange/gold/whatever you want to call it nicer than PDG...
