Newer M2 is all? I can fully see how that can be one of the most fun cars. Definitely seems that way from the reviews of it.
Any options you decided to add or leave out this go around after your experience with the first one?

The current M2 is amazingly fun!
Had for almost two years now and they rolled out with the Competition having many great upgrades over my M2.
They kept it rather simple also as the previous one, it doesn’t have 20 boxes of options to tick. 5 colors this model, one interior only but with colored inserts you can choose. Two different wheel finishes.
They will I’ll roll out with a full catalog of M Performance parts which I might add afterwards.
But pretty much straightforward build.
Configured with the same color, there is a new color this year called Hockenheim Silver I liked but I am still not convinced it looks better than the Long Beach Blue.

Dang didn't know there was a BMW made with that few options. Thought all BMW's had a 90 page book of options when purchasing them
I think the blue is definitely better than the new color. At least based on photos.

The M2 was always a simple build, pick from 4 colors, one single package called Executive Package and that was it.
M2 Competition is similar, but adds a couple more color options, adds two wheel finishes and stitching colors are two now whereas before it was just blue. You can add a sunroof also like in the 2018 M2.
Some other European markets it can be configured a bit more but pretty much its loaded stock.

I would LOVE to get an M2..... but as i am getting older, i need to use the back seat more often to carry people....
Enjoy! Not many cars at 50-60k range that still focus on driving anymore.

It actually is big enough inside to haul a couple adults in the back seat, Cant say the same of the 1 series. With my seating position, and I am not 6' tall, the rear passenger are extremely tight on leg room!

Havent updated here in a while. Car has been in Florida for 3 weeks now.
Flew over in October and did European Delivery, picked up car in Germany and racked up 960 miles driving on some of the most amazing roads I have ever been on.

Dropped off in Europe after 10 days (10/10/2018) and the car reached USA on 11/3 but I was doing Performance Center Delivery which delayed the hand off until 12/5 since the Holidays back up the process.
Earlier this month the day finally came to pick up the car again.
From there, the car went to Extreme Colors Auto Spa who did some extensive work on the car.
Wrapped the following in XPEL PPF:
Front bumper
Headlights
Fenders
Hood
A pillars
Partial roof
Mirror covers
Rocker panels
Replaced stock film on rear fender with larger XPEL piece
Rear bumper sides right behind the rear wheels
In addition to the XPEL we also did 5 year ceramic coat including wheels and calipers. Should help cleaning the wheels which look like a pain to wash.
The guys at Extreme Colors put in extra hours to get me out of South Carolina right before the snowfall they received that weekend. I would have been stuck there two extra days!
While my car was there another M2 Competition owner dropped their car there so it was a good opportunity to get pics together and included Extreme's shop car an LCI M2.

As soon as I got to Florida I headed to Miami to the guys at Active Autowerke to get their Signature Exhaust installed.
https://store.activeautowerke.com/co...exhaust-system
I had been talking to them for months expecting they would have a donor car before I received my car from Europe but they never received one.
Brought my car to them to finalize the system which they had already tried on an out of state car.
Just minor adjustments were needed and the car sounded amazing, was a pleasure meeting David/Andrew and the entire Active Autowerke team.

Really neat experience. I love the color, and that exhaust sounds amazing. Not quite a fan of the ///M color decals though. But amazing machine you have there. Enjoy to the fullest!

So i know he has 1-series, now a M2 competition, maybe another BMW? Unless he kept his M2 but wouldn't make sense to keep 2 M2s.....

Guys THANKS for all the replies! I hope I multi quoted everyone below!
I am looking to see what date is the one in January to head down, I will text you. If not for sure February.
I'm a low key douche since evaR!
Two, just the 135i and the Competition. The 3rd BMW at home is my girls, also a 135i.
I'm afraid to ask what is the meat you mention lol
Build quality is amazing, its pricey but you gotta pay to play. I lied to myself with the M2 saying I would just do springs and then ended up doing bunch of mods so not wasting time with this one!
Thanks I appreciate that!
Thats the life hack, and also getting rid of that second house I had in PR helps!
Its bucket list material man, I wanted to do it for a while and thankfully I was finally able to do it and experience amazing roads! Thanks for taking a look and dropping a line in my thread.
I ordered the car blue again and then changed. Wanted to play safe and then got out of my comfort zone and switched, so glad I did. With the M colors BMW has a full pack including sides which IMO was excessive. I opted for the front and back since its vinyl and I can pull off at any time. Front I was dead sold, rears I was on the fence but keeping them a while until I get tired of them.
Traded the blue same week the allocation got to USA. They assigned 512 build slots for USA in June and I had money to lock one, but was playing with trade numbers since the M2 Competition price had not been released. Once they Released I started negotiating with my dealer and they offered me what I wanted for my car so jumped on the deal. So just got the Comp now and the 135 as a daily. I will have a 3rd sometime but it will be a '70's 2002 or an e30 M3 at some point.
Exactly, the 1 series might get some love soon. Just concentrating on the Competition, got more to do.

I am updating in pieces cause I am bringing info over from bimmer post and cleaning up the updates.
A week after installing the exhaust I went to my guys at Auto Tuning House where my guy took care of the installation of my VRSF Downpipes and KW HAS. Also was looking to install spacers all around but he only had in stock the rear set I needed so he drop shipped a front set to my house couple days later.
I'll have better pics all cleaned up with the drop this weekend.

Fucking hot...
and yes, I meant Mel's and your 2.
I can't believe you love the brand enough to have left Honda behind entirely.
I might have to drink the Koolaid at some point too.
Remember when I almost did the S2000 for the M3 in Laguna with CSL kit?

I drove through the countrysides around Munich, then drove to Stuttgart, then to Zurich. I think anyone who is into cars should visit the BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche museums. You would especially like the BMW one, as well as the BMW welt. I didn't rent a car in Italy because it seemed like a huge pain to park there
Exhaust looks and sounds great! Those welds and flanges tho.
