Stop the world, i wanna get off.
The only reason I bring it up is because of the numerous RL bashers that claimed having to turn a knob was less luxurious than pushing a button, and thus, the RL is inferior to it's competition.

If you don't need the key though, why not hide it and prevent scratches/snags?

It's one thing to not need a key. I guess it's a cool little novelty...pushing a button to start a car. But, the question of an F car with a key boggles my mind. What is scratched with a key...the ignition key hole?

What is an F car all about? Feelings. Sensations being fulfilled...tactile, auditory, visual.

Fact: Not turning a key to start a car is directly related to the growing waistlines of American citizens.

I've always wanted push start...probably cause I don't have it. Like with most amenities, once you get used to having it, you get used to it and then wonder why you cared to begin with.

Although that is not true in the case of my DVR. I need that...need it bad.

Push to start.. meh.

Sure you put the key in your pocket and just hop in the car, press on the brake and push a button. But then you need to dig in your fucking pants to lock the door.. it's annoying. Whereas having the key in your hand already from removing from it from the ignition, locking and putting your keys in your pocket is natural.

Now if it fucking locked after you moved more than 10 feet from it and unlocked once you were in range.. that would be cool.

^^^Right...I agree. At one point, was like...gotta have ventilated seats and auto up/down on all 4 windows and push start on my next car.

Can I absolutely live without it...yep.

I'd like to have that now, like my TL did. But I wouldn't trade my car because it doesn't have it.

Lol, maybe if I'm bored tonight, I'll do it. I assure you that my '08 Infiniti does indeed beep when the button on the door handle is pressed to lock.

my '10 4 door GTR beeps, just doesn't honk. It will honk if I lock it by pressing the lock button on the key fob.

I think turning a key is a tiny tactile joy in a car. Feeling the starter pull and the motor roar to life is a kick to me. Pushing a button is as sterile and cold as a doctors exam table. Just my opinion.

Turning a key is not a chore to me.
Nor is it to me either. The fob I posted is to an RL, which doesn't have a push to start button.

What can get scratched? Whatever is in your pocket with your keys?

Hmmm. That doesn't seem to be a problem with my car.

Got those too. Well not the ventilated seats, those went to Canada until we got them in '09.
