Leased an 08 Audi A4

I went ahead and leased an 08 Audi A4.

Considered TSX for a long time and the lease was a hundred bucks cheaper per month which was SO tempting, and I was oh so close to getting in a new TL-S, but I just got a nice deal on the Audi and felt it was a lot of car for the money.

Still love the TL/TSX though and this forum has been very helpful in my car shopping.

Here are a couple crappy pics with my Mustang.

Cheers!

Do you also have an RL?

I was so close to getting a TL but in the end I wanted AWD.

Every time I see one I still think hmmm.

I dont wanna second guess myself so damn much.

Yup, I have an RL too.

As to the warranty, it depends. If they (dealer) can say that the chip is the root cause of any mechanical failure, then I guess they can void the warranty. But they have to prove it's the chip's fault. On the other hand, most programs are switchable on the fly, so you can switch it back to stock when taking it in for service. Of course, if they are actively looking for chipping, they'll find it, but most of them don't care.

Really nice looking Audi there. Is that Dolphin Grey? I considered that before I got mine.

Why lease? Just to get lower payments or can you write it off? Just wondering.

Car looks great by the way. Interior shots? Audis have always impressed me with their layout and materials.

First thing you must do for $600 is install a chip from APR!

you'll go from 200hp/200ft-lb to 232hp/273ft-lb on 91 octane and even higher on 93 octane!

And the cool thing is, the audi diagnostic tool is incapable of knowing that you have chipped your car from APR and you can switch between stock and the performance settings whenever you want.

http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/e...rade_b7a4.html

THe uprgrade costs about $600 + any other special options you want.

Not sure what his reasoning is but after going through hell and high water to sell my last two cars privately, i decided to lease simply to never have to go through that again. The used car market is rough these days...very oversaturated.

Gotta love those turbo's! I almost bought a 2003 A6 2.7t, mostly because the APR chip adds rediculous amounts of power to that!

I'm guessing the second... Are those aftermarket or optional Audi rims?

The wheels on my car are from the Titanium package that Audi offers.

The other guys wheels look like S4 wheels I believe.

The wheels on the other guys A4 are replica RS4 wheels.

The stock RS4 wheels can't fit the A4 because the RS4 has flared fenders.

The S4 wheels are really nice rims , too bad we don't see many of them.

Honestly, I don't know, and for all I know, it was a good deal. I just don't think that the car is worth that much.

Oh yea I agree. I probably could have worked them down closer to what I pay for my A4, but I felt the Audi was a more well rounded car for the money.

I've been sooo tempted to chip my GTI, hard to resist, but I'm content with the power that it's giving me right now...
