37k for the car (subtracted 18k for the trade)= 19k.
So I had to pay the balance of 19k (I'm putting down 6k, and financing the balance of 13k). Hope this makes sense.

so 37K + 18K = 55K USD = 80K CDN!??!?
#'s dont quite work out... you can get a performance package with navi for 56K CDN out the door.. no trade in.
for the track just add an extra 3k maybe so 59KCDN = 41K US --- remember no trade in.... so they only deducted 3k basically.. thats really weird..

It's more than the veilside kit.... even though the wing is VERY ricey.

The graphics don't help either...

IMO, that's one of the negatives of buying a 350Z-- once they start hitting the used car market, every 20-year-old ricer will be modding the hell out of them.

Maybe I'll buy a G35C instead

Just MY opinion, but the G35c just looks to pretentious for me... sure the numbers are very similar to the Z, but I wanted something RAW.....hardcore..not softcore.... the G35c just turns me off from the outside....reminds me of the old prelude design...the inside is sweet, i give it that. And dealers are NOT budging from sticker...I refuse to pay MSRP for anything

Hmmm..... Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but do you really see similarities between the G35 Coupe and the Honda Prelude? I don't see it.

I'm still leaning toward the Z, but take a look at the picture (stolen from my350Z.com):

This is an excellent comparison shot, with matching colors (is the Z's Silverstone the same shade as the G35's Diamond Graphite?)

You can clearly see the similar bloodlines of both cars. Yet the G does have a "softer" edge to it. That said, I honestly think the G35 is the "prettier" car, while the Z looks more chiseled. But looks are definitely subjective.

There are also several other reasons that I'm still considering the G35 as well.

1) Love the 18" wheels. Even more than I love the Track model Rays wheels. I would never change the wheels on either car, however.

2) The G35 doesn't suffer from many of the same issues as the Z, especially the dreaded highway "bounce". Also, the G35 comes with superior Michelin Pilot Sports (excellent tire-- had them on my M3)

3) Visibility. One of my main disappointments with the Z is slot-like rear view. Maybe I'd get used to it..... I dunno.

Of course there are several other small things too, such as the LED taillights, pop-up Navi etc....

And I love the aero package on the G35C. At first, I wasn't undecided, but now I understand exactly why Infiniti chose that spoiler.... with the high rear end, a spoiler that is raised would just look all wrong.....so they went with what basically amounts to a large lip spoiler. And I love it.

Hmmm..... Looks like I'm talking myself into a G35 instead

But I really don't know..... can't go wrong with either car

Def see your point Tom....and looks are subjective for sure! Seems like a good fix from the "bounce" (from what I've been reading), is a set of Eibach springs....not bad for like $220.... There is also the Nismo suspension kit which is more expensive and involves more components (about $1200). I'll see how it is when I get my Z, then I'll get the Eibach's if bumpy roads are too bouncy.

update: the closest Z (Silverstone track with Navi) that the dealer located is in Mich. Based on my specifications, there are only a few of these babies in the country! They are flatbedding it to chicago, I should have it by mid next week. Only has 6 miles on it!

No shit, huh?? Seems like every other new car thread is about a Z.

When I was car shopping last October, I talked myself out of the Z 'cause it wasn't practical (2 seater). I've had more the 2 people in my CLS once since I bought the CLS 8 months ago, so I guess a 2 seater would work for me

You guys gotta stop buying Z's. It's driving me crazy

(And I do see alot of familiar usernames on the Z forums).
