It was some sunguard brand that was suppose to be 50/50 (forget what exactly) and they said comfort access wouldnt be a problem.

Might have to call and bitch.

I love comfort access and use it all the time. One of the best options that i ordered, which is why i wish it worked better after getting tinted.

Clear bra is actually getting installed tomorrow. Paying $400 for custom fit since i have that aero front lip. Avery Denison brand

Remember to but the key fob in the slot every once in awhile though otherwise the battery in it will die. Plus the car won't update the fob without it in the slot so the dealer won't be able to tell what service you need when you go.

Well supposedly the key fob doesnt get recharged in the slot if you have comfort access. You just have to change the battery when it dies.

Is there a little door on the back of your key fob?

I was thinking about the clear bra, but I haven't decided whats more important: that, a rear decklid spoilder, or truck mounted cd changer. I use the comfort access constantly, it was definitely worth the $500!

I'd bitch them out if they told you it would work and it doesn't. The guy at my usual tint place told me they never had any complaints with metallic tint and the various gadgets and gizmos out there that it interferes with... but I didn't trust him, so I went somewhere else and got the Formula 1 ceramic. Comfort Access works like a charm, but that shit was ridiculously expensive, almost 3x the price of regular tint!

Wait a minute... Comfort access is $500, and it allows you not to have to click the key fob to unlock the doors, and you don't have to put a key in the ignition to start the car (and remembers seat, radio etc settings). Is that it ?? I thought there was more to it than that

Remembering the settings is no big deal to me 'cause no one else drives my car, so I guess it's just the unlocking of the doors and push start without having to take the keyfob out of your pocket.

There's still a key, and keyhole in the door and for the ignition in case the battery dies, right ??

^yes.

Although, if the battery dies... can you still put it into the slot and start the car?

There is a key hole in the driver door so you can open the driver door, but thats it. The rest of the doors won't unlock as they are all controlled electronically. As for the ignition, the key fob will go in into the slot with a dead battery.

Theres also the trunk that has a keyhole in case you want to crawl through.

But that's only works if you have the optional 60/40 split seats, right ??

I thought there was more to comfort access, but I'd probably get it too...

correct, I got it as part of the cold weather package, not sure if its available as a stand alone option though.

On another note, seing cmark's car makes me wish I could get away without having a front license plate, the car looks so much better without it

Depending on where you live in Northern VA, some cops are pretty picky about having a front plate.

Yeah unfortunately I know. Thats why I won't even bother trying to get away without having one. I live in Loudoun and the cops here are pretty cool, its the Fairfax county cops that are the problem They busted my brother for no front plate a couple years ago. They also busted me twice last year for tint. I don't want to deal with their bullshit anymore so I'm not giving them any reasons to pull me over.

Contemplating ED, not 100% sure yet. I want to know if its cost beneficial, with the flight and accommodations, if so, I might as well do it.

Its worth it if you got a friend to drag with you. They have that 2 for 1 airfare and split it between two friends then its cheap.

I didnt do it cuz I have no friends and didnt want to wait that long. 9 weeks was long enough!!

Go for it and order one .ED is something I considered, but the thought of driving on the autobahn with a new unbroken-in car+all the arrangments forced my ass to order-n-wait on this very computer chair.

Yeah I saw the promo, trying to see if I have any takers to tag along
Definetly not a fan of the additional wait, 6 weeks after I drive my car I get in the states, thats insane, so we'll see. Plus the other thing is some countries require winter tires and sometimes chains on cars or you get ticketed, ED is seeming like more work than its worth to do it at this time of the year. So I might have to play close to MSRP and do normal delivery.

I would be too tempted to go all out on the autobahn in a new e92.

If you were planning on a trip to Europe or wanted to go see Germany or wherever then I think ED is a great idea. I would if I were ordering a BMW. Sadly, I am not.

I wouldn't necessarily go just for the "Savings" ...
