Havent done the paperwork yet since im still unsure if I plan to buy or lease. I still have plenty of time to figure it out.

Got the car for $45,310 (1k over invoice) in case you want to do the math yourself.

That's not that brutal, an 07 CL600 leases out around $3k/month with tax up front for 36 months.

Due to price, shit residual and high buy rate.

Hey, nothing wrong with that! You'll get one after BMW has had a chance to work out all the bugs and kinks with the first year models, and you'll save some money since demand won't be as high. If it wasn't for my CL passing the 100k mark, and losing the tranny warranty, I would've probably waited another year to buy mine.

IMHO, I think the Montego color looks horrible on the sedan, but is definately hawtness on the coupe/convertible...i don't know what it is, but it looks completely different between the two bodystyles..

The lease over 24 months is somewhere in the low 600 range with NY tax included..
Just delivered my friend his car the other day, I didn't get to drive it, but at some point this week we're going to swap cars so I can tint the windows for him (he'll be taking my S2k for the day)..

Went with saddle brown leather. I have yet to see it in person so i hope i made the right choice.

I like the way it looks in pictures but everyone says its hard to photograph since in pics it looks more orange. They say its darker in person which is what i want.

Just hard for me to get away from black interiors, always had them. Thought this would be a nice change.

Smart move on the saddle interior, suits Monaco well.

Monaco/black would have looked ok, just a little on the boring side.

Black interior is nice but it gets way too hot during the summer. I went with parchment in my TL and although it looks nice and classy, it gets dirty so quick. I think my next car would be either brown or tan leather interior.

Too many 335 threads lately, I didn't know where to post but... I drove a friend's Vishnu 335 6 speed E90 yesterday. My budget is going to suffer from that decision. That car is so smooth and tight compared to my 5 year old CLS. I haven't driven any other fast cars lately to compare it to, but it definitely pulled similar to a hard top C5 I drove a couple years ago.

True Danny but, the N54 has really been a homerun for BMW. After having driven the 335i, I found it to be one of the most impressive motors (in terms of power AND refinement) that I have ever experienced. And the upcoming 135i will make the Mazdaspeed3 seem like a Yaris, by comparison.

On a slightly different note (but still on the N54 topic), I just read the Edmunds review on the 535i and they indicated that it is as fast as the 550i. Too bad it was not available when I test drove the 550i last month; I would have love to try both back-to-back. LINK

yep, ventilated seats FTW but
damn, the 335 prices out at over 48k once you start adding options
that thing is expensive specially considering I just negotiated a lexus GS350 purchase for 43k with nav, but i know that's an apple to oranges comparison and that the bmw is definitely a more fun car.

Shad and Crazy,

yes the wait is killer, but once those twin turbos get into your hands all those days of pain and suffering will instantly disappear. I had to wait 8 weeks until mine got into my hands and the wait was infernal. Congrats both of you and please be assured that you've made the right choice. That turbo has an incredible amount of power and you can tune it as hard as you want. I won't touch it anymore after the procede pack because if you've test driven it you know you wanna keep that smooth power delivery for ever.Which human ears could resist to that melody that inline 6 makes ?(I'm not a BMW salesman ) Make sure to get the Vishnu Procede Package. Keep us updated

Hearing people say stuff like this is VERY REASSURING!!! especially since I sold my CL and have been driving around a '99 buick regal for the last month waiting for my 335 to show up According to BMW's order tracking, my car is "En Route", which they told me typically means about 10 days on the boat across the atlantic. Then it goes to the prep center, then it goes to the dealership. So I'm hoping by the end of the month I'll have it In the meantime, I'll continue to spend most of my free time staring at pics and watching videos of 335s

Anyways, thanks for the motivational words I'm gonna look into that procede package right now, but one question: will it void the factory warranty?

My 335i was a purchase not a lease.( I have no clue if it changes anything). My dealer(which is my dad) told me that it wouldn't void the warranty since the engine upgrades is nothing more than a ECU chip.Be prepared though if it ever causes anything(the vishnu)! I wouldn't be worried though the change is PHE-NO-MENAL!! Look at edmunds.com test drive of a 335i Procede! In the meantime be courageous until your dear one arrives. We're all with you.

I sold my CLs last month and I'm driving my moms old 86 E-Class. lol

I went to the BMW dealership and the moment I saw the 335i, I knew it's what I want.

The dealer said that I could expect $700 a month payments. Kinda steep, but it's something I can handle. Does that sound about right? I don't have a trade in and I look to out about 5 grand down or more if needed.

5 grand down no trade then ya, $700 a month is not unreasonable if you're financing.

If I could just find a way to knock it down to a comfy $500 a month...

Hmmm, maybe I'd just be better off leasing one. Especially since I'd hate to have to deal with any electronic/turbo issues down the road.

Ah well, I have plenty of time to mull this over. (currently saving to buy a house)

Those specials arent that great, they always ask for a lot down at signing.

Sedan has much better leasing rates than the coupe. Leasing the coupe wasnt that much different than financing which is why im gonna now buy the 335i instead.
