Just pulled the trigger on a 335 sedan!

the dealer did a nationwide search and couldn't find any 6-speed Montego blue sedans, so I had to order directly from the factory. Shitty thing is, it won't get here for another 7-10 weeks This is going to be the longest 2 months of my life, but hopefully it'll be worth the wait!!

On a side note, anybody want to buy my CL

Congrats, now we can start a support group on AZ.

My 335i coupe goes into production the 21st. I should have it by mid June... THE WAIT IS KILLER.

Sweet congrats on the car. What options did you get with it? And how many doors?

4 door (thanks StreetSpirit ), Sport/Premium/Cold Weather packages, along with the Comfort Access and the Rear Park Assist. Toyed with the idea of navigation, but I've yet to hear a single positive thing about idrive, so I decided to skip out on it. I'm also going to get the rear decklid spoiler, but I don't think they put that on at the factory, I'm pretty sure the dealership will have to do that.

I put it up for sale on a few car forums and someone from Texas basically paid what i was asking for it. Couldnt turn it down.

I used the cash from the sale and put it down on some property. Will be leasing the 335i coupe.

You already get a production number? Its fun to track the cars through bmwusa.com

What color combo did you go with?

not to rain on your parade, because i do love the 335i, but do you honestly need the comfort access and rear park assist? just seems silly to pay almost $1000 more just so you dont have to turn a key to start the car, and when you back up, you dont need to look at your mirrors because it'll beep at you.

Yeah I got the production number today, I can't wait to check it out. Dealer told me it'll take a couple days before its up on the site. I got the Montego Blue with the beige interior and burl walnut trim. I went back and fourth between the beige and gray for 3 days! Still don't know if I made the right decision but oh well What color combo did you end up getting?

Monaco blue with Saddle Brown leather with gray poplar trim.
Sport/Comfort Access/Navigation/Heated seats

I think Comfort Access is worth $500. Its a cool gadget, no one needs it but its sure as hell cool to have.

I tried, my brother wouldn't let me j/k I wanted to maximize the fun to drive factor, so manual was the only way to go. However, I'm not very good at driving stick, so I need a car to practice on... You coming back anytime soon???

No, but on the same token, do I need any of the options I got? No. Do I need a 335 over something cheaper like a 328. No. Hell, do I even need a BMW? No. So to answer your question,

Just don't rely on the back up sensors too much. I've backed a 745 into a box truck once trusting them. Apparently they don't see up too high, just roughly from the bumper down.

ya know, I saw that option on the order sheet, and if you do the munich pickup it lowers the MSRP by like 2 grand! So I was definitely considering it, but then I found out that you have to 1) pay for your own airfare to Germany, and 2) pay the shipping costs to have the car shipped to the U.S. So once you factor those costs in, it works out to be more expensive. It could only save you some money if you were planning on vacationing in europe anyway. Ironically, now that I'm buying this car, I can't afford to take any vacations

im pretty sure theres no shipping cost. u just have to buy airfare and hotel if u plan to stay there. some people just fly there, sign the papers, fly back in the same day.

Did you call teh 1-800 number to see when your car will be going into production?

Theres rumors going around that theres a delay for new orders. I think its BS though.
