well, overall, I'm not digging it. It was a white one on display at my local acura dealership. Ironically, most of the guys who were crowding around it, were all 99-03 TL owners like myself! You could say, we all came to see if we were outdone! I didn't get to drive it, but here are my impressions of the car.

likes:

-the dash board has a better layout.
-the front headlights are cool looking
-integrated rear tailpipes
-neat looking, saab head rests
-no more 4X4 stance, with nice meaty, wide tires

dislikes:
-the overall exterior design is kindda boxy. Its also waaay to similar looking to a tsx
-the front seats didn't have enough room for my laps
-the overall interior room(front, and back) is lacking seriously!
-the wood trim looked REALLY cheap. And there were too many dash pieces lifted straight from the '03 accord.

you know, to each their own. I think they tried to make it a sports sedan, which it clearly isn't. I even overheard the salesman BS'ing about how it can "outhandle" a G35, and IS300!

 

In person does it look like a bigger TSX?

oh, yeah dude! in fact I thought it was a tsx, when I first saw it, because it looked just like the one parked outside, untill I noticed it was slightly bigger.

 

I don't get why salesman have to lie like that! I wonder if they are under pressure to lie about the product? he said that they were given a G35, and an is300 by acura, and asked to drive each of them at a track, against the TL. he then said, "we whipped the G, and IS"!

Funny...when I dropped my car off at Acura on Wednesday I mentioned the new TL. The service guy peeked out the window and pointed at a white car and said, "There's one you can look at on your way out." I drove up to it and it was a TSX.

They look EXACTLY the same from the front.

 

I saw one too over the weekend while I wasgetting a warranty item done. Also white. I don't like the exterior at all. The interior however is great. Blows away any CL/TL. All the new tech features were cool. They had this one hooked up the nav, with the voice control. Had the blue tooth cell phone hooked up. True hands free with voice dial & all. Very cool! The stock stereo blows our cars out of the water. The dash is NICE. Those blue gauges are VERY cool looking. I still wouldn't buy one, but it is nice.

 

I can only tell with the big dent down the side. It's nice though.

 

A salesperson told me the same thing about the G35 but they were not talking about the coupe. I believe the 04TL will hold it's own adainst the 4 door G

In acceleration but not in handling. The sedan is not much different from the coupe. In everyday situations, the TL will handle just as well but put them both in a track and it won't be close.

 

Well there's your problem right there - you only need one of those!
