some old asshole hit her head on cutting in front of her. total damage was 14,000$ in may. so she will be looking for a red 2 door legend

I feel for her.. I have been hit twice and both times damage was about $2,500. Shittiest thing is that when asked if you have been in an accident in the last 3 years, you have to say "yes". The Insurance Companies still nail you even if it was not your fault...

I never realized that the airbags were different colors. My friend was looking at the pics and was like, woah, His and Hers airbags,

Yeah, anyways that really sucks what happened to the car, the first gen TL is an amazing car, and like previously stated it is sad to see that happen to one. Best of luck to your girlfriend with a car search/repair.

 

they totaled the car with 14,000 in damage. at 1st the estimate was 8000$. we had the car towed 2 hours to mechanicsburg out of pocket. once they started to rip things apart they found more damage, so hence the 14,000. the other guys ins co had to pay for the tow down then! his ins also paid for a rental car for one month and a few days of missed work.

the airbag cost alone was 3000$ for the 2 bags and the propellant or whatever is used to make em go off.

brought a tear to my eye having to take out the stereo and to have to leave it. it was one of the most beautiful cars i have ever seen

she will probably be replacing it with the exact same car or buy a 2 door red legend when was the last time you saw a red one?

motor was fine just some minor frame damage and sheetmetal.
only 62,000 miles
