The Jetta has been living a double life

It's dirty. More pictures later, but I found a great deal on a used one of these with under 10K miles with CPO still under factory warranty

Congratulations! 3.0T is a masterpiece ... very few issues with a very linear powerband.

Did you get the supercharged 3.0L, or the turbocharged 3.0L?

Enjoy that supercharger whine
Thanks. But it's a B9. No supercharger.

Caught my response before I could edit.

I don't know much about the turbocharged 3.0 .. but I do know you can pickup ridiculous numbers with tuning. Keep that in mind when CPO warranty is up .

Yup. This one is for keeps, so I will definitely be looking into that down the road. For now, the thing is just loud and mean sounding.

I'm not touching that, lol. I won't be buying another car for a (very) long time, but the small trucks from Acura are great. If I were on the market, I would strongly consider the RDX.

Congrats! The B9 is a great car, loved the exhaust when my wife had her S4.

Do you know the background with the original owner?

One owner, no accidents, up to date on maintenance (had 10,000 mile service). The radio was replaced under warranty but everything else is original.

Is it more loaded up than your A4 was? Did you get the B&O? VC? DAP? Sport Diff? Variable ratio steering?

Did you get FWD because you don't need AWD in your weather?

Most importantly, did you post here before any Audi site?

Bought it in the rain.

I’ve had it for a little while and I must admit the only thing I don’t like about it is the auto start/stop. It’s really sensitive.

No sport diff, but I’m not a @Yumcha level cuck. No regerts

What year is it? I’m still debating on a 2016 S4... last year of the 6MT.

2018 from mid-late 2017

there wasn’t a 2017 in North America

a coworker has a 2015 and loves it.

You’re not helping my case

I’m going to beat the TL all winter long and then look for something in late spring/early summer.

I treat my TL like a work truck now. Zero fucks given. I’ve never been this mean to any car I’ve owned.

So, the S4 only comes in Premium Plus or Prestige and the Torsen quattro system is standard. I have the Premium Plus. So yes to B&O and VC (both pretty awesome, particularly the VC) but no to the rest.

What is VC?

I agree, the DAP is a waste of money. Just more tech to eventually fail and if you’re able to keep your eyes on the road and shoulder check/use your mirrors, it’s completely unnecessary.

sport diff would be nice though.

Do you have the heads up display? A cool gizmo, but again, not exactly necessary. I’d have to debate whether I’d spend money for it.

Audi Virtual Cockpit. Still the best looking one in the game right now.

The only option I didn't care for that I absolutely love is the sport seats. They're excellent. I need to get the camera out and takes some shots - and then take some pictures.

I don't. But I bought used and this was the combo I wanted. If I were going new I probably would be like you. I tried a HUD on a Camaro once and I could definitely get used to it, but I don't have to

Nice upgrade. I was in the same boat with the C. I found the best CPO with 90% of the options I wanted. No DAP or active LED on mine, otherwise loaded

Thanks! Yeah, I was definitely a little bummed when they dumped it from the S4 and now the A4 for 2019

If I buy a 2016 6MT S4, will it go up in value eventually, due to being the final year of manual production?

asking for a friend.

I think it is some of the best money I spent on my A4. Absolutely love it and use it at least once per day.

Then again I drive in enough traffic congestion that I don’t care about manual transmissions (they are dead already to me) and the A4 is plenty fast; the S doesn’t really get me anything except less efficiency, a bigger hole in my assets, and higher insurance premiums.

Congrats, very nice pick up, isn't the VC awesome...

Isn't there a button on the dash that disables the start stop?? I have an on/off button in the Q7 that disables the start / stop, I press that button as soon as I start it before I even buckle my seat belt..LOL

Thanks! There is a start/stop disable button but I still usually leave it on. The A4 had a clear on/off pressure on the brake pedal. The S4 seems a little more ready to shut the engine off. It's been weird in a few situations for sure.

almost forgot. Nice pick up OP... Congrats. As i told Yumcha, if Audi offers an somewhat reasonable lease program, i would be driving an Audi now.

I can see a wheel upgrade in the near future.

Mercedes is similar, I've had it shut down while still 'moving'. My F150, light brake pressure would keep the engine running.
In stop/go traffic, I disable it, but at the occasional long light, I don't mind it. It is a lot more intrusive than the F150's system.

I don't feel mine is too intrusive, but no matter how much I tried to get used to it I just don't like it..

Don't get me wrong, it's not horrible, it's just not as good as the A4 was.
