Well if you're ever in Dallas....pm me and Ill let you loose on some twisty roads.
A buddy of mine and I have actually been talking about taking a road trip to California and up the coast. Both of our cars we're leased until this month and we both bought them out of the lease and it would be like a...new beginning for the cars...I dunno. If we do, you'll be one of the stops! He's got one two.

I'm not so much in to drag..never done it, so I would be kinda lost...also dont want to toast my clutch.
I'm waiting for my club to organize another event...they are currently looking at willow springs.
We do need to meet up and check out each others rides though.

Just place an order of DENSO IRIDIUM Power Spark Plugs ITV22 5340.. I'll probably install the fuel pump internal and these altogether.
I'm getting these because it is recommended to get a step colder plugs, if I'm going to run anything above 18psi of boost.
Like I said up there, right now, I'm running pretty conservative map since I'm still waiting for the hpfp internal. I've set my peak boost to only 16.5psi.
Once I get the hpfp and these installed in, I'll be targeting 19psi from 3500rpm to 5700rpm, then taper it down to 18.5psi til 6700rpm.

dude... I think it's pretty decent for what I get!
Let me list the pricing for you.
Cobb AP - $520 (I bought the 3 wks old used one, this newbie over at msf.org bought it brand new and got scared of tuning...... what a dummy. lol)
CP-E SRI - $150 (it's $200 brand new but they were running 25% discount on everything when I bought it)
CP-E RMM - $125 (it was 125 bucks before CPE raised it price to like 230 i think)
CP-E Tow Plate - $50 (I bought the 2 wks old used one, this member at msf bought it and didn't like it)
UR RP - $150
JBR RSB - $195
JBR SSP Kit - $95
Autotech HPFP Internal - $359.99 (it's 399.99 but they are running a promo code for msf members)
Denso ITV22 Spark Plugs - $36
Total = $1,680
Members who have the same set up as mine are getting some seriously great numbers...
Btw, keep your eye on some good deals on msf.org or other vendor discount periods. I mod my car pretty slowly, since that's how I enjoy it. So that gives me time to research each mod thoroughly and find good deals.
The Gen1 MS3 doesn't require hpfp til later, so you save $360 at least from my set up!

And, the demand of used parts in Mazdaspeed world is very high. You put up a part out thread and everything is pretty much gone in 3 days. Everyone gets at least 60% back for their parts, so it's pretty good imo.
I'm pretty much done with engine modifications.
My other future plans are baking the headlight housings, Swift Spec-R springs with Koni Yellows or FSD. That's it.
My car is 20 months old and still at like 9500 miles... so I don't drive much. With that being said, I just love my car so much, and I will probably drive it for another 3-4 years and get myself a MX-5 in the future!

Yes. That's what I'm going for with my set up.
Hopefully some good tuning will get me there. I won't be disappointed even if I don't get there though. It's plenty fast for my driving. I'm perfectly happy with the performance of my car, and thats all it matters!

Damn you just posted 6 times man.
If you like it that much, just get the MS3.
But seriously, you just can't go wrong with either GTI or MS3. I was in the same position. Just test drive both on the same day and go with the one you like the most!

I thought you already had the previous Mazda3??
Did you just traded it in for a brand new one?

I took the 2008 Mazda3 in for that steering pump recall. So i was walking around and they tried selling me this thing.
I like the new designs but it drove almost exactly the same as my 08.
Very tempted to pull the trigger for the luxury items but I walked away. sigh.

I see. Never driven the regular ones before. How much is it? It's pretty much the same or more than the MS3 when loaded with goodies, yeah? That thing does come with lots of goodies..
Did they have the new 2010.5 MS3? Mazda changed couple things for 2011 ones.

Ya? This thing was stickered at $27,800! Online seems to say you can get 3k off of that.
Not sure how much you can deal on the Mazdaspeed3 but wouldnt have done it anyways since its only manual. Need auto.

Forget all the packages, just get it for the way it drives. I feel the 2.5 is a big improvement over the 2.3 in the last gen 3.
Mine has zero packages even if I was richer I wouldnt get them.
