That scenario is possible for some of us. However, there are others such as myself, for whom this may be the finest car we ever own. When you live on a teacher's salary and have two college-bound boys (at age 51) plus all the usual 'real-life' expenses (mortgage, utilities, groceries, etc.) that some of our younger cult-members may not have been privileged to experience yet....you find quickly that this automobile IS the pinnacle and not a stepping stone to a more expensive toy.
This whole thing is very simple....whether you chose a G, a TL, an ES330, a CTS, an X-type, an S60R.....or a Kia Sephia....just enjoy the drive and quit worrying about whether someone else's car is "better". Every one of these cars has strong points and weak points....the fact that we, as individuals, "like" something.....DOESN'T automatically make it a "better" product....it simply means we had an opinion and a certain bias to our "taste". So....put down the keyboard, pick up the keys....and go for a drive and enjoy the toy!

No, just trying to alert the TL brethren that you are a waste of everyone's time, instead of a contributor.
I guess I could go to the CL-S forums and dig up the posts where you dog Maximas and praise the superiority of the CL, but that would make you look bad........
I reiterate my contention you will have A TL very soon and will defend it until it's time to trade again in 6 more months.

8) 2002 Acura CL-S auto (Cracuras ROCK!; blew tranny, couldn't fit 17" CRT in back seat)
x) 2002 Chevy Trailblazer (Returned after a day of ownership)

Your comment about the interior makes no sense. It seems many people correlate the "cheap appearance" with actual quality. My G35 has 24,000 miles on it and it looks brand new.
BTW, you are NOW arguing with someone who has owned 47 vehicles, of those, 4 were Hondas, 2 Acuras, 4 were Nissans, 2 were Infinitis.

I'm not arguing......
Wow, you have owned 47 vehicles. So now I should change my stated opinion as a result of your experience since I've only owned and needed 3 vehicles in my 14 years of driving?

Getting back to the original thread (which seems 'eons' ago), I've recently read in a magazine that the G35x AWD weighs in at a portly 4500+lbs!!!! .............(My previous Infiniti FX45 SUV weighed that much!!) The TL weighs around 3300-3500 lbs in comparison.

The problem with the "better" car is really helped by people reading magazine articles. So everyone considers themselves an expert. Since the G35 has mopped the TL in every comparison, it is considered the better car at this point. Both have pros and cons, and those confident in their purchase won't worry about what people say.
Not to mention, it's not like people actually drive these cars like they do in magazines. To MOST people, it's their first entry level luxury car and they treat it as such, with care.

...wondering, .......if Acura offers a AWD version of the TL that weighs 300-400lbs more than the FWD version but with the same hp.....will you be willing to trade the performance penalty for increased traction? .........for me, I wouldn't.....FWD with snow tires is more than adequate for any urban environment in wintertime.

TL vs G35
I test drove both,, seems to come down to personal taste. Could have left the Infiniti dealer with a lower payment on awd G but it all came down to the interior, there is just no comparing the plastic universe Nissan has developed to the TL. If performance was all you were concered about then a STI should have been the choice....

Why you posted the link to my profile, I have no clue. In fact, I had to look at it myself to see if there was something of significance in there (there's not). Maybe you should check out the Corvetteforum.com and print a link to my profile there as well.
I also have no clue what your last sentence above is supposed to mean. I'd love an explanation.

Your statements clearly implicated that your opinion was more informed due to your owning 47 vehicles, thereby making my opinion ancillary. Seemed simple to infer.
Russ has the unfortunate habit of getting people on other car forums to come help defend him when he has nothing intelligent or substantive to state when he digs his own grave with stupidass comments such as the TL not being in the same class as the G35 when anyone with an ounce of sense knows otherwise. He usually brings in much more respected and upstart members to save his rear end and make himself look better to other members.
The link of your profile was not an invitation for slander, just an illustration of how he pulls people in from other boards to help defend his position, whatever it may be that day. The link was to let people know that he gets others to come in and try to add some sort of legitimacy to his often weak arguments.
First, the Maxima was God's gift to automobiles, then the CL AND TL (yep, he actually defended it just 18 months ago), then the A4, then the Pathfinder had paint that could never be penetrated, and now the G35 is God's chariot. It's a disturbing pattern that only a trained mental professional could address and treat.
But until he admits that and does something about it he's nothing more than entertainment on car forums.......:banghead:

Can I ask a question?
How long is this thread going to continue. It's to the point people are nit picking every little thing. You can't pursuade someone to think different if they don't want to. Regardless how immature or ignorant they maybe.
We aren't curing cancer here folks. Just make up or not and move on.

OMG are you stupid? I have a habit of getting others to help me?! I dont' ask them! They know what is right unlike you! So don't even try to make up some BS like that. Remember you are the one who likes to start shit on forums not me. Just like you are doing here. TL isn't since its not RWD. Even ask the other forum members like bmw, g35 owners, they even said the same thing. I have no need to look better when I have correct info. Backed up with facts.
LOL whatever man. Think what you want. I use to back up other cars that I didn't own. Just like the Maxima now I was backing up. I still back up the CL, and whatever else. YOu just like making up a bunch of bullshit that is why no one likes you at maxima.org.
