Identify this (Acura?) and help catch a killer

Everybody's leaning towards an Acura TSX, I personally think it's a TL. Weigh in and help out!

Looks like a white TSX... The black roof channels and the thick pillars seem to point in that direction. The TL pillars are thinner, and the roof channels on mine were white in color(or just smaller and less noticeable).

Seeing the side mirror would help some, I think.

I'm a bit biased since I own a TL and stare at it whenever I can but it is most definitely Acura at least. How are some of the Jalop commentors saying stuf like Chevy Cobalt or Traverse? Are they using a screen reader?

Personally, I think TL since the top of the grill looks flat, although that could be perspective.

I didn't know the Cobalt looked that good! It also looks like the headlamps are putting out an HID light, because they appear brighter than a subdued natural headlamp output would be.

It's a TL the seat gives it away.

Is it the way the side bolster lines up with the seat back?

I can't tell shit by the seats. By the grill you can definitely tell it's either a TL or TSX.

I may be incorrect in this guess but I'm gonna say it is a TL. In looking at pictures of the TL and the TSX, it looks to me that the TSX A-pillar gets slightly narrower from bottom to top whereas the TL A-pillar pretty much stays the same width, and if I am looking at the pic correctly it looks like it stays the same width throughout.

Clearly we have peeps who think it's a TL and other that think it's a TSX.

What have we learned here: Do a crime in an Acura TL or TSX.....nobody can tell the difference.

I have an idea someone with a white tl and a white tsx go take the same/close to angled pics and we can compare from there

Looks like a 3G TL to me. The grill is larger than the TSX grill. Also it does not have the chrome trim on the lower section of the A pillar. I would put money it is a TL. Where is the CSI enhance when you need it.

07-08 TL Type S

- The seat bolstering suggests its a TL.
- The grille opening is large enough to suggest its an 07-08 as the 04-06 TL had a narrower opening compared to the 07-08.
- The chrome grille surround plus the middle bar suggests its a Type S, 3G type S TL had the chrome bar plus grille surround, base model TLs had silver bar plus silver surround.

04-06 TL

07-08 Base TL

07-08 type S

The grill does seem to reflect a bit more, so perhaps a type S. Hard to say the pictures are so grainy...one thing that steers me away from it being a type S is there are no lower fog lights. Or he could have them turned off. It is most certainly a 3G TL though.

The bolster is more pronounced in the TL as opposed to the TSX which is a bit flatter.

Grille is straight out of a 2007-2008 TL-S, it is taller than the 04-06 one and much more proportional to a TL grille than a TSX one. As well it looks to be chrome based off the reflection from it. Furthermore it looks like it has the TAUPE interior as the reflection brightness doesn't change off the leather as it would with Black/silver leather.

headlights do not look right for newer TL, also the chrome stip is not as prnounced on the hood for it to be a 04-08 model
Here is a good side show and as you can see the other headlight is not visivble in the shot

Maybe 2000-3?

No way, its definately a 3G. Look at the A pillar.
Also look at where the windshield meets the A pillar in the top corner it is squared off not rounded.

Also to rule out the possibility of it being a TSX look in the bottom left corner of the last image. You can see the mirror bezel section is paintmatched. On the TSX that section is black. 99% sure it is a 3G.

The grill is too small on the second pic for it to be a second-generation TL. It's a 3rd generation TL.

3G Base SSM / Ebony interior. If it were a Type-S, the grille "wings" would be more reflective like the surrounding material and the seat would be two-tone.

Shoofin that was my immediate thought, however I could see the TL resemblence (grille is too wide for a TSX imo)
