okay my buddies and myself were sitting around talking about a sleeper (cars and trucks).
I didn't know TRD(Toyota Racing Development) came up with a S/C for the 5.7 in the Tundra. after researching it online with no other bolt ons just that the S/C it will run a 13.0 on street tires and has over 500 hp.
so i figured if i put a CAI,headers, S/C and exhaust i should be up around 550 hp. maybe tapping into 12's.

It would be a sleeper if you did not do anything to the exterior. I'm not really a fan of hot rod trucks (because they usually look ghastly with hood scoops, stickers, etc...). This is intriguing.....
Or, transplant the whole powertrain into a Camry then you'll have a sleeper.

it doesn't seem worth it to me, unless you need a something to tow/guzzle gas with. Plus you're paying 20g's or more for it, plus another few grand for the mods. all for a sleeper
wouldn't traction also be a problem for a truck since there is barely any weight in the back with the bed and all.
if i was in the market for a sleeper, i'd get a 1990 nissan pulsar gti-r, upgrade it with a few bolt-ons and call it a day. but that is the exact opposite of what a tundra is, so it probably wouldn't work for you
