How difficult? Removing Underspoiler Kit

I am going to be trading in my car and will most likely remove the underspoiler kit. How tough is it to get the 3M adhesive off? And how do you go about removing the kit...is it just as simple as going backwards if you were installing them? My main concern is the 3M adhesive.

This is for my TSX.

Thanks!

WIL

This really wouldn't be specific to just the TSX. My main concern is removing the 3M adhesive. Would people use a heat gun, etc...just want to see what methods were used by people.

Should be easy enough. Simple take a hair dryer and GENTLY heat up the areas where the tape is, then GENTLY pry it off. Once you get one or two pieces undone, the rest of the lip will come off.

Perfect. I think I'll try to remove everything this weekend.

Is the TSX underspoiler kit held by adhesive tape??? Really? If it's anything like the 2nd gen TL, they use the stupid push-pins + clips to hold it on. Post pics on the TSX forum on what needs to be done.

Yes there are push pins but there is also 3M Adhesive that is used to make the lip flush with the bumpers.

The uninstall should be the reverse of the install, but the removal of the adhesive will be the pain in the ass I think.

Doesn't the front underbody spoiler for the 2G TL have an adhesive strip on it, in addition to the bolts?
