I ran into this guy at a car show this weekend. His name is Al, he's 76 years old and just finished completion on this merc. He did EVERYTHING himself even down to the paint and interior. Said the car took him about 2 years

A merc....like in the movie Cobra! That would look soooooo much better in flat black or a shiney dark charcoal!
