I feel the same way about hybrids on the road. I don't get that angry about it but I feel like they are the slowest ones on the road. They are already getting 40-50mpg, going the speed limit won't kill them.

 

I have only seen one leaf on the road so far

Though I do feel the same way about prius drivers Either they drive like the above leaf owner or they drive like complete morons ( I know it sounds redundant).

 

The only leaf I've seen on the roads was going like 50 down travis st in downtown houston.

Now, suburban prius drivers....

 

Don't ever go to Japan. Hybrids and electrics are only a small problem. The 660 cc cars are the worst (called Kie car).

 

That's how I feel every time I get behind a Prius.

Not here. They all camp out in the left lane of the highway going the exact same speed as the truck next to them (50-55) to keep everybody else from going around. And God help you if you get behind one on a two lane road. They will literally go half the speed limit so if it's a 45 zone, be thankful if you get one going 25 or 30. But the minute you get a passing opportunity, they'll always speed up to try to keep you from going around. They're so pompous.

Honestly, I wonder if the owners at the prius forums brag about their narcissistic ways.

I bet the thread titles in their car talk section go like the following.

"Made 15 people late to work today by clogging the fast lane, wohoo"

"Post how many people gave you the bird today"

"Almost got run off the road today, why me?"

 

That video was funny. I have to admit I just leased a Leaf for our 3rd vehicle. Busta boost Mazda wouldn't be passing me in a Leaf.

If you can get past its exterior- the technology and performance (normal mode) is not too bad. The IPod integration and Bluetooth is worlds better than my TL's.

I figure the gas we save from my wife driving a Pilot as a daily driver will pay 80% of the $240/month lease. We'll save the Pilot for towing and other stuff like carrying more people and going off road.

 

Interesting. Everyone in Austin drives slow. The Priuses actually tend to be the fastest. Conclusion: I hate everyone who drives in Austin.
