The best was what Honda wanted to call the Fit before it became the Fit...it was the "Fitta". Fitta of course, means "cunt" in Swedish and Norwegian languages.

I don't care if they call it the Holy Flying Turd from Mars; it's exactly the kind of car design they need to punch through the glass ceiling they've been dealing with in combating the German car companies.

Anything bigger we don't really need, so that rules out Tahoe/Suburban class trucks.

But with 8 months to go. I'm all over the map. I LOOOOOOVE my Durango. But in the interest of lowering our monthly overhead while I transition in my career, I might, gulp, give it to my wife and go with something cheaper for me to tool around in. Not my ideal situation, but we'll see.
Really really liked the CX-9. So, maybe we can get a good deal on one next year.

If I decide to stay go with another 3 row vehicle, it will either be a Durango or CX9. Those are the top 2 imo.

Well, one vote for the Mazda if my opinion even matters.
Interior and exterior are just that much better.

No, I'm not leaving. I'm just making a move within. Which will require not taking certain jobs and waiting for other opportunities.

So I'm considering picking up a Benz W220 S55 AMG next spring as a luxo cruiser, not a daily driver. Am I going to hate my life with owning a car like that or should I be looking at the S500 instead?
Thoughts?

I saw one of these parked on Ventura Blvd earlier today when I was out there for a meeting.
Still not sure how I feel about it. It was the same color which is very bright in person.

I tried hard to convince the wife to get a Flex with the V6 EcoBoost. Sweet vehicle. At least i got her to like the Explorer Sport with that engine. I still may look at the Flex for a work vehicle. Next to driving a mini van, not much else has the space the Flex does

If you do look at any used ones, make sure to fold the 3rd row flat & check for the 3rd row 'floor' being broken/cracked. Didn't know this prior to getting ours & one side needs repair or replacement. It still works, but is pretty flimsy. I've seen a few posts about replacing them with panels from a Taurus X/Freestyle as they're supposedly a bit stronger & are a direct fit; or there's the option of pulling them out & DIY reinforcing them.
Since all EB Flex are AWD, find out when the PTU fluid was last changed, seems to be a common thread over on fordflex.net

TLX lease $277/month. I'm not in the market for this but what do you guys think. Apparently Cali is a SUPER competitive car shopping market.

Quick question for you guys. Is it ever worth settling on a weekend car?
My co-worker & I had a small discussion about this, and his main point was that if the car is only going to see usage 2-3 times a week, it's worth making compromises if a solid car comes along. With my DD paid off, I've finally been able to really explore the Z06 market, but I've been pretty picky about needing an 08+, under 40,000 miles, and Nav. My co-worker's proposal to me was that maybe it was worth being happy with a Grand Sport that had similar options considering they're more available and generally easier to buy. For him, they look identical and the 70Hp difference is trivial; as long as it had the manual & nav., I would enjoy it just as much as a Z06 on the weekend use. The lack of valve issues on the LS3 is a bigger plus as well.
He has a point & I have found a lot of Grand Sports available with what I like. For the amount of money I'm willing to spend though, I'm still leaning towards just waiting for the right Z to come along.

x2. I wouldn't compromise on things that affect driving pleasure.

I'm sure you'll be happy with a GS, but you'll regret not waiting for a Z06 when you pull up next to one at a red light
That being said, I did stop by another place just to see if this was still for sale.
It is a Grand Sport, but it's got a nice list of bolt ons (Custom cam, Kooks headers/x-pipe, Corsa exhaust, LSXR manifold, intake, plugs, lowered), so I'm willing to make an exception for this car. BUT, had a CEL and a service traction control on the dash, so I'm really skeptical. Guy selling it didn't seem too interested in a deal, struck me as someone who would be willing to talk once my credit checked passes; did give me permission to have a pre-purchase inspection done wherever once we agreed on a deal and had a deposit put down.

Don't do it. Unless you really know these cars in and out...stay away. You'll be in for a headache if its modded and tossing codes, and no one has taken care of them yet.

Another vote for no.

It really is a cave inside, and handles pretty decently stock, for a long heavy SUV/Wagon.

Sitting in traffic today I had some random thoughts. Sometimes we are stuck behind some dickbag that's texting and so a million cars swoop in in front of him/her but you can't see if it's worth it to change lanes to attempt a pass. Or sometimes the guy in front is up a dude's ass and even though you're car lengths behind him, even at high speeds you might not have the reaction time/raining to avoid a potential accident thanks to dickbag riding ass. How tricky/difficult/costly is it to install some sort of safety feature like a radar for cards ahead of us that we can't see? I was thinking of a monitor showing this:
X - first car
X - dickbag
X - you
X - first car
X - dickbag
X - you

So is this guy doing it right?
I Was driving down the road and came across some guy from Florida, must be lost or something, or maybe he got a good deal on used 4x4 wheels on craigslist. He did however manage to get all 4 rims/tires in the C7 though!
