I don't think the values are that high. Around 4-5 years ago, values were est. around $20 million putting it around double the price for a normal F1 back then. I'd wager based on #044 selling for $15 million & the '97 GTRs at $20 million, $30m is a likely range for a LM.
Newborn and business are keeping me busy enough. But I do miss it.
Not sure what to get though. Another BRZ maybe used for under $15k or a new BRZ Performance Pack for around $26k or a CTR for $35k.
Join the club & go GTI or Golf R? Still have some room for the kiddos & a fun car to scoot around in.
Or come out here to Houston & buy the new $32k FoRS.
Under warranty, who cares? $32k will not get you into a new Golf R lol. Probably a 2014 or higher mileage 2015.
Under warranty
That FoRS was a 17.. was it new?
You need to stay up on game sucka.. 16-17' Golf R's are in the low 30s all day.
Brand new they can be had for high 30s.
Golf R > FoRS > CTR on aesthetics.
Golf R > CTR > FoRS for DD duty (assuming the FoRS drives as poorly as a DD as is reported)
Maybe even Golf R > GTI > CTR > FoRS for a DD.
If the Elantra GT got the N treatment here, it would probably fall in there somewhere as well. More under the radar than the FoRS & CTR.

Agreed. CTR is garbage for aesthetics. The only reason I'd place the R ahead of the CTR for DD purposes, is because of the AWD. Definitely not needed, but hey, if it's available, I'd take it over FWD only.
It sucks because I WANT a CTR... but I can't handle how it looks. I'd walk up to the car every day with a paper bag on my head, just so I wouldn't have to look at it.
I don't think the Elantra N would be much competition in this circle. It seems like it would place above a Civic Si, but below a CTR. Though... I think I heard we are going to get a Veloster N? Don't quote me on that, though.
Deep down inside I am a Honda fanboy. I don't really care for AWD.
If I got a CTR a steering wheel rewrap would be high on the list - the red on the bottom half looks strange. Love the front end on the CTR, same with the FoRS and R. The CTR is the only one with an ugly profile IMO.
I am a hard parker but just want that pseudo track cred.

Yes, it was new...which is why I said it was a good deal. A beat to hell Focus RS is not a good deal at any price.
I'm intimately familiar with current Golf R pricing at this point. High 20's will get you into a high mileage 2015. Low 30's will get you into a lower mileage 2015 or 2016. Mid 30's will get you into a CPO 2016 or 2017 and high 30's/low 40's will get you into a 2018.

The Elantra N is more of a GTI/Subaru WRX competitor than for the higher end hatches. Civic Si is slow AF.
I had the same thoughts about the CTR. If it looked like a normal car, I'd be driving that right now. Also, you'd need to wear that bag while driving too, the interior is not as bad as the outside but still bad...
Speaking of Hyundai... most cars in Seoul are Hyundai/Kia same with the vans, SUVs, and even the buses.
Sprinkled in are BMW/MB, and even less Audi. Uber Black is the only Uber choice here, got a Kia K9 twice... very nice luxo barge.
A lot of scooters, a new Chevy Malibu here and there, scattered Wranglers (Rubicon only), but no other US domestics. I saw one Euro Ford Ranger and one Explorer.
I have ZERO interests in Golf and Focus. Golf is too boring and mundane. Focus is just.. Focus. I worked on a lot of Focus and its interior is one of the worsts. The driving position is way, way too high.
If/when I get the CTR, the firfi thing I would do is to wrap the fake CF and red pinstripes. Those are trash. And would reupholster the steering wheel. The red bottom is trash.
But all the issues with CTR has got me thinking. Much better to wait out and see how Honda addresses the transmission and other minor issues in a year or two.
it is much much safer to go with a BRZ if Im planning to track drive the car but not sure how that will go with two young kids!
