Whats up with RDX owners?

Dont get white, it has to be the most popular color on the BRZ and the FR-S.

I was thinking WRB by default (it is a Subaru, of course), didn't know they had another shade.
Silver used to be one of my favorite colors out there but I think it's so popular that over the years I now dislike it. Charcoal/gunmetal on the other hand, like your FR-S I've always liked. Ever since the R32 GT-R
I also saw an FR-S the same color as yours. It has some nice depth in person, which I think someone mentioned in your thread.

That R32
The other blue is Galaxy Blue Silica, its a darker blue. Looks black in the shade but really pops in sunlight. I sometimes wish I got it instead, but Asphalt/Dark Grey Metallic is a bit lighter and easier to keep clean IMO.

Seeing that guy's M3 thread pop up again got me thinking. Call me crazy but I could never own a 8-10+ year old German car. Like having an amazingly gorgeous wife who ages like a fine wine but refuses to be decked out in anything less than Rodeo Drive's finest couture. No thanks.
that said, my friend just purchased a new GTI. Very nice, love the steering wheel. When new, you can really appreciate how solid everything feels, even in a relatively lowly VW.

what do you mean by this? I'm having a hard time understanding. you're saying you would not own say a 2004 M3, because why? not sure what you mean by "decked out" as it relates to an 8-10 yr old German car.

Ok. I know there is that stigma with German cars, but you're making a broad generalization. Just to let you know realistically, I have a friend who has a '98 M3 with over 200k on the clock. And it runs like a champ. All he does is oil change and other regular maintenance. Owning an older German car doesn't necessarily mean money pit.

Radio does not work
A/C works when it feels like it
Moonroof seized up - though honestly was a fairly easy fix
Rear shock mounts collapsed
Random misfire
Fan clutch failure
One or two other things I forget.
To be fair, it runs fairly well now, just needs new transmission bushings and a creak in the rear fixed.
I try not to make broad generalizations but rather assumptions based on my own observations. Most people I know who have owned a German car (or multiple) in the past no longer own one now, and a few even vow to never buy German ever again. Merely based off of what I've seen in real life I wouldn't want a used BMW unless it was a much older one (i.e. E30) with few electronics.
Not to mention various other E36 problems as documented by charliemike and other E36 owners on forums. Even as recent as the E90 has had issues with the 335i and its HPFP, which can leave people stranded. Supposedly it's been fixed?

does anyone have a carfax account that could look up vin# JM1GG12L161103521, it should be an 06 speed6 w/nav. Dealer says 47,887 is the most recent mileage update. Just trying not to waste my time driving if the car is a POS on paper.
Thanks

I'm not saying you're lying at all. Just that he probably hasn't told you everything that needs to get done.
And $5k in maintenance on a $10k car probably scares the shit out of most people. But realistically, most used E36 M3s need all that done.
So as someone looking to buy a used E46, they have to find someone that did all that on-time so that they aren't hit with a huge bill. Most people do not do the maintenance when it needs to get done on those cars ... They treat them like Accords when they most assuredly are not

Anecdotal cases on both of our parts but I have a friend with an E36 M3 as well, only about 140k on the odo, and it was garaged for a good amount of its life. Not only that but for the most part his 50+ year old dad drives it to and from work, so nothing crazy. It has never seen a track or any sort of abuse.

My point is that that guy will sell that M3 to someone who may or may not do all their homework, find out they have $5k worth of work to do and then be extremely pissed at BMW. Some of that is legitimate and some is the fault of the previous and current owners.
In my case the mechanic that did the PPI told me the car was fine and he was full of shit. He had been basically fleecing the PO by saying he was doing work when I'm convinced he wasn't and continued the coverup with me. It was partly my fault for using the same mechanic but the car was in Chicago and I was limited in where I could get it done. Lesson learned.

911 Carrera S gets Performance Pack for 2013. Adds 30hp and drops 0-62 to 4.0 seconds. Adds some body kit pieces and I don't know how much it costs but considering it's a new head, it's probably not cheap.

^^^ hell if it looked anything like that pic (or had the potential to), it would be sweet!
Thanks for the information and clarifications on the E36, btw. You are right, I can only go by what my friend tells me. Also I did personally drive the car, and it felt great. Oh and I have one clarification to make, my friend is a 'wrencher' type and is in the company of wrenchers. And, he is one of those people who takes VERY good care of his cars, like overkill territory. But, he is not the first owner of the car.

If the new Mustang looks like that, Im trading the FR-S in a heartbeat (as long as the IRS rumors are true too).

I see no relation between the new Fusion and any Aston Martin.

You redditor, you.
clearly a photoshop btw. He probably cut you off without signaling then abruptly slammed on his brakes so he could make an unprotected left.
