Fuck yeah Raptor.. lots of fun. My buddies neighbor started a business specifically for Raptors.. turbo + tune. If you want a truck and aren't into rollin' coal.. get a Raptor. Not so sure about the EB's.. kinda sad to see the V8 go.
Do you care about fuel economy? Guessing you don't since you're even considering this option but the Raptor is t1ts. Love it and everything it stands for. (Which is the "fuck it, why not?" mentality)
^ I have an MDX that gets crap for mileage in the city, so not really. It has served me well, but I'm at the point where a truck would serve me better right now (enjoy the outdoors). I've been researching Tundras, Tacomas, and F-150/Raptors... and I keep coming back to the Raptor.

Tundra: Doesn't do much better than the Taco, is more expensive, and doesn't look cool at all.
Taco: The global benchmark for a pickup truck. Does everything, still expensive, looks awesome especially in TRD off road form.
Raptor: Doesn't do much more than the Taco, most expensive, by far the coolest
For off road ability, the Raptor is bar none the best out there for low level off roading. It's actually not that good at slow speed technical stuff whereas the Taco actually is good at the slow speed stuff but not nearly as good at high speed. The Taco is cheap to mod, Raptor is not. Taco is cheaper to live with (gas, insurance, etc) than the Raptor. Raptor is infinitely cooler.

Depends on what you want to do, how much you want to spend, and how cool you want to look.

I've looked at the Tundra/Taco TRD Pro line and they're not bad. But the Raptor is just a bad ass motherf$*@r.
Straight piped V6's are louder then 5.0s with an exhaust. My friend has a S197 5.0 with a Roush exhaust, and its definitely not as loud as a straight piped V6. Only difference is the 5.0 actually has a sound, whereas the straight piped V6 sounds like a tractor.
If I end up getting a truck, it'll be primarily used to haul my gear. Mountain bikes, road bikes, fishing equipment, etc. As far as off roading goes, it'll probably on the 'lighter' side.

High school kids. Atleast 30% of the cars in my schools lot are V6's. You can buy them for like $19-20k new lol so not a big gap between a Civic or Corolla.
Also have you got your imaginary V wagon yet?

Still not following why it wouldnt be good at slower speeds.....
Stock or Aftermarket the V6 and the V8 will have very distinguish sound regardless how loud they are.
i never understood that one either, but i mean.. With the stang eb.. V6 seems like an unlikely choice for most.. Unless..

Tundra is a huge lumbering truck. It's fugly, expensive, and not worth it over the American competition.
Tacomas are used everywhere in the world for everything. It's actually quite capable at Jeep style off roading from the factory in TRD off road form. The TRD Pro models are the ones that do the high speed desert running stuff.

My last company (aftermarket auto retailer) had one 5.7L that we abused on a daily basis with minimal maintenance till 100k before the water pump broke.
We used it for what it was built to do: tow cars to the track, drag race and daily inventory pick up (full load) for 7 years. It lived a harder life than probably 90% of the F150s on the road here and still running strong today i heard.
Regarding the V6 Mustang, the biggest challenge for the 2015 is that it doesn't have the features that the V8 or Ecoboost do. So it's a base model and a rental volume seller.
That said, there are definitely some that prefer the 300hp V6 and its exhaust note over the 2.3L Ecoboost. The 3.7L V6 is a tractor engine but it's a good one. And for under $25k for a base V6 Mustang that includes Sync and HIDs, it's a pretty good deal too.

But if i had a V6 Mustang, I probably won't feel good about it knowing there is a turbo version and a V8 out there that i don't have.
Probably the same reason why I would never buy a 320 or a C250.

I wouldn't buy one but I bet they sell a lot of them.
But i see your point.
