Another lesson why you should park your own damn car.

Sorry, here's a better link where you can reply easier: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...3#post15073433

Here's a neat comparison: http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/eh-...now-1596756532

<<<@!1!@>>>

EDIT: Why does my quote from CM go away?

@CM
Front end looks great. I love the fact that they got rid of the very visible crash bar in the grille and the headlights are standard with LED and standard HID in ST2 and ST3. The fogs don't look bad either but I think I prefer our round "projector" look better.

The rear leaves a lot to be desired. I hate all that black plastic in the diffuser. It's way too large. But I do like the smaller taillights.

The interior is where they did the best changes. Everything was pretty much changed for the better.

I now officially feel outdated. It was bound to happen eventually though. At least I'm modified to the point where I don't look close to stock anyway.

No. I still have idling issues, the headliner rattles, and intermittent headlight faults. But the car drives without issues so I'm just biding my time until I'm ready to replace it next year.

I'm over the center mounted exhaust. It inhibits me from adding a hitch to carry my bikes. Just about everything else (except that valance) is better.

I have just enough bad luck to make it annoying but not so bad as to have something catastrophic happen. If my next car has no issues, I'm not getting rid of it ever

Have you guys seen Germany's automated parking system at the airport...? Neat.

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...g-system-video

Airports can be stressful enough without the nuisance of parking at them. It's rarely cheap, always crowded and invariably miles from the terminal you need to fly from. In Germany though—or at least at one German airport—things are a little different. Düsseldorf airport is trialing a system called Ray, which aims to make airport parking as quick, easy and pleasant as possible.

Ray currently covers just a section of Düsseldorf's parking areas, but successful trials could mean wider application. And we hope it is successful, since the robotic parking concierge looks quite spectacular. Drivers simply pull up to the appropriate spot in the parking lot, take a ticket, and let Ray do the rest. A large robotic forklift whizzes in from the side of the bay, lifting the whole car off the ground and whisking it away to a far-flung corner of the lot. Once you return from your flight, Ray brings it back again and you drive off without having to amble around for hours looking for your car.

The system is clever enough that it can even rearrange cars while you're away to ensure they're quickly returned once you're back at the car park. Cars likely to be left for a while can be stashed at the back, and those owned by people returning soon can be brought forward for minimal disruption. In conjunction with a smartphone app, drivers can even let Ray know they might be a while going through customs, or collecting checked-in luggage—so your car isn't left waiting, clogging up a potential space.

Because the system rolls along on multi-directional wheels, Ray can spin on its own access and this agility means Düsseldorf airport's parking lot is more space-efficient than ever. The usual six-meter wide lanes have been cut in half, and the section of the parking lot handled by Ray has increased parking capacity by 60 percent. The airport will make its decision on Ray's future by the end of the year—but given the system's advantages, we'd be surprised if it isn't given the green light. And maybe airport parking won't be quite the hassle it usually is...

Porsche really has something with the Cayman GTS. It laps a track as quickly as a 996 GT3.

It's amazing how frequently dealerships show a complete lack of attention to detail.

Like Toyota Corollas ads for cars selling for $1,999,599 instead of $19995.99.

Good friend of mine bought a new Mazda3, base model, 6MT.

It's a good drive, as expected. But there's no tach. Felt like I was driving with one of my senses muted.

It's effing 2014, you can't put a tachometer on a car touted as the most fun in its class? I get that it's the base model, but the thing has A/C, Bluetooth, push button start... How expensive can it be?

I just searched "2015 Mazda 3 Tachometer" on Google and found this:

Can you switch the screen settings so something else appears?

Looks really similar to the instrument cluster in Ford cars with MFT. The left screen can show a tachometer, fuel economy, trip computer, or vehicle settings. Right screen can be navi, audio, phone, or climate.

The left screen in mine is always the tach.

That seems to be a higher-level trim. On my friend's, the space to the left and right of the speedo are blank. The odo and digital fuel gauge are below the speedometer, inside the ring.

I wonder if that IP could be retrofitted later on.

Yep the iSV sedan has no tach, the other 3i models get that dinky digital tach. The 3s models get a large center mounted tach with a digital speedo.
