General Car Talk Discussion Thread
x2 on following the tire recommendations. That's what I do.
Also... is it just me or are these cars surprisingly cheap now? Genesis sedans for under $14k:

Yeah, but having a bunch of years and miles left on the warranty sure makes you feel warm and cozy.
I'll take this one
2012 Gen 5.0 R-spec 6k miles - $30k

Upon Paul Walkers death, one of my friends knows i like to drive spiritedly told me. At least you drive a corolla, so it will be safe
I dunno what crash test ratings area at, but shitty tires, brakes, handling dont account to being safe for me haha
That being said, I dont drive nearly as spiritedly in the corolla as I did in the acura. Car inspires no confidence for reasons listed above.

But I could never bring myself to own a car like the Corolla.
Neither could I, my parents do... I would never buy one. I'm just glad I have a car because of them, at this point.

This is my everyday car with a baby due in march. I WILL BE A FATHER TO MY SON!!!! (I'm pretty excited, it is our first).
I may be securing the funds to pick up a high mileage S2k for shits n giggles to not have my forum/man card revoked for going with an automatic transmission.
Car is great, navigation blows, and I can't believe a 27k msrp car with a "tech" package doesn't have seat warmers. Other than those few gripes it is awesome. Oh, the wind noise issue, it is real, very very real. Sounds like the windows are cracked at all times. Car is very light on it's feet and loves the twisties, if it had about 50-70 more hp it would be the best car one could purchase new under 30k, hands down.
Tinting tomorrow (12/2), intake and sway bar on order, might be securing some exhaust (axle back) and may look into sound insulation to get rid of the wind noise. We will see what the future holds, I used to own a 1996 Mazda 626 V6 that was sweet, I had to get back into the family.
Wife wants me to start saving for the NSX, I think I may skip the S2k and go with her advice...
This is also the first car I purchased brand new for myself. Bought the wife a 2012 CRV EX-L which was brand new at the time.

Yeah, I have some goo gone around somewhere I will do it and take better non-cell phone pictures tomorrow after I get the windows tinted.
After 3900 for my trade in and nothing else down. I took the 6 with Tech package for a little over 21k, gap insurance included, paid cash for the all weather mats.
