Hey whats that company/site where they send you a small tube to fill it with oil and they will analyze it and diagnose your oil?

is that oil test still truly credible? I heard it gives good info, but not a complete analysis. Something about it wasn't perfect is all I remember.

I dunno I just remember people here lauded about it.

My cars engine randomly got hot the other day. I felt the power become sluggish and then looked and my temp needle was 3/4 of the way up.
It hasn't done it again but we recently changed the radiator and that thermometer thing? So it shouldn't be those.

Another thing to add, why do my front tires on both side look like this?

At first I was thinking I may have brushed up against a curb or something but then I realized, that my drivers side tire never gets close to curbs like the passenger so its probably not that.

Just curious as to what it is.

I would say it is. I always pay the extra for the TBN test as well to see how much life is usually left.

That truck is awesome. I saw him or another truck of that kind back at the Daytona Beach air show in 2005 and took this video.

If I had the money, I'd be glad to give it a home - http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2013/8/1...Buyer-7715742/

Something like this doesn’t come around often, and wealthy collectors everywhere are sure to be interested. Set to hit the auction block this weekend at Monterey is this, a 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster. Just six examples were built, and this particular one is number 0003. In fact, a dealer tried to sell this exact car on eBay last April to no avail. The German automaker built just 20 examples of the coupe variant, so any time a roadster pops up is cause for celebration. Only thing is, this one just can't find a buyer.

Good to see it may now have a chance at finding a home. I believe it's been for sale for well over a year now.

so now my car's engine temp will start rising if i'm stuck in traffic with the A/C on. So cant really use that anymore.
And to top it off... the check engine light came on. So I need to see if autozone can check it. I forgot, but I think I saw somewhere that autozones in california dont do that. I hope they do. Cause the dealer will probably charge me $100 to see it, unless i get the problem fixed from them as well

It really seems to me like the recent cooling system work you got done wasn't done right.

Possibly, I trust my family's mechanic though. He's the one that changed the radiator and thermostat for us. I need to check if the fan is working working properly. But other than radiator/fan/fluid is there anything else that can cause this?

Retail stores in CA cannot loan out code readers anymore.

But I believe AAMCO does code reads for free, at least the ones I've talked to. Might wanna call around first. Another good suggestion is to go into a parts store that delivers and ask them if they know of any shops that will code read for free. Be careful as some may only be free if you agree to get the repair done by them.

My guess is the fan. Which is why I wonder about that thermostat. I don't know if the Acura uses an electric fan or a fan clutch either.

If the mechanic is a family friend, maybe he can read the code for free.

I can't imagine how much money I would have to have and for how long I'd have to have it before I'd be comfortable owning that car.

But I love looking at that photo.

Yes, the pictures are basically an advertisement for the options you can have on their version of the car. So, on one side they have the black wheels to show you can get the wheels in black and on the other side they have the silver to show potential customers they can get silver.

Why wasn't I born independently wealthy? Or, at the least, have some rich uncle leave me a couple hundred K so I can have cool toys parked in my driveway.....

I didnt think about that. He should have a reader. He's not a fulltime mechanic, just does it on the side i believe. He used to be one.
Thanks!
