g35 VS 350Z

OK I KNOW WE HAVE DISCUSSED THIS BUT I'M SLIGHTLY AT A LOSS. FOR A 350Z 6SP W/ LEATHER AND NAVI IS OVER 36000. FOR A G35 WITH THE SAME OPTIONS IS ALMOST THE SAME PRICE. WHAT KIND OF FUZZY MATH IS THAT?

350Z touring is not worth the price. Unless you must have a 2 seater or a 'Z' car. But, currently a Z touring is easier to find than a G35C.

Also you have to understand that 350Z is more of a Racing sports type of car where as the g35 is alittle sporty but also luxury. I know the 350z is a harder ride then the g35 and the g35 has 4 seats with more luxury standards. personally I would go with the 350z cause a little faster and better handling

i would have to look at the G35. that car just looks a little bit better than the 350. I have decided if something were to happen to my cl, i would go straight to the Infinity dealer. The only downside is that it is a nissan.

What's fuzzy about it? It's almost the same car...do you WANT to pay extra for the inifiniti name? If the infiniti was more expensive with equal options i'd bet youd be complaining about paying extra for the inifiniti name... Anyone who buys a car simply for a prestigious nameplate is a tool.

personally, i think the G35 looks 100x's better then the Z, and for the price it's a no brainer to me. The 6 speed g35c is the same price as the track edition 350Z. I'd take the g

Compared to a touring, the G35 has Brembo brakes, longer warranty, better interior, and a few other features ... for a few hundred more.

For the cost of a track, I'd get an 03 cobra.

edit

350Z touring: 6sdp, DVD, side air bags = $36,287

G35c 6MT Leather: Bose, DVD, Sunroof, Premium = $36,995

Well it seems to me the 350z is a ripoff. I mean for the same price as a comparable 350z (to my types) w/navi I would pay over 35,000. for almost the same price you can get an Infiniti w/ a backseat, sunroof, and longer warranty. so as u can see there are some options which can't be attained on the 350z. Thats all I'm saying

Although I'm going wait for the fastback cobra Keep my CLS until then. Unless someone else produces something else that catches my eye.

Did you see the new Mustang at the autoshow?

for the dragstrip maybe but definately not for a road course, the cobra handles like shit. Yes even properly setup. It can be good but for the money i'd pick up a used c5 throw a blower on it and whipe the floor w/ the cobra on either course.

WARRANTY and loaner cars for service

Nissan sucks when it comes to dealer service 3 year 36k plus battling for whats yours

Infiniti rules for service- 4 year 50k plus good cust service

these are at least my experiences with 2 Infinitis and 1 Maxima

WRONG! I paid $29,100 for my Z (Enthusiast & Aero Package), which is a great bargain. It doesn't have the Lux of the CL, but it's a TOTALLY different car. There is no comparison between my CL and the Z. Different classes.

And contrary to what a few said here, I think the Z has a better interior than the G35c - It's simple, but perfect for a sports car. It has REAL aluminum, while the G35c has FAKE aluminum.

03 Cobra = Very fast in a straight line. That's it.

Ford Quality, Chasis from the Carter Administration, terrible interior, old body design - It came in last place in the C&D comparo for a reason.

Brembo brakes are overrated IMO. The Brakes on my Z are MORE than sufficient. The only advantage of the Brembo's is for repeated use on a track, which I doubt most people here would do. They don't shorten stopping distances.

Again, the G35c and Z are different animals

Mach 1 2nd to a Track Z

You are missing the point, we're looking at the Track and Touring.

Agreed, but I paid a whopping extra $4 a month on my lease to get my warranty extended an extra 17,000 miles, and I get the total luxury care package - Loaner car, towing, etc...

It's a little extra $$ from Nissan, but in the end it came out to ~$150 extra

True. The cobra can't drop the extra 500 lbs. But stock either car is more capable than most driver's ability. More than they will ever need or be able to handle. So many people by cars because of what a mag says, not how the'll drive it.
