stock lgt 5spds dyno about 200/210 and responds ridiculously well to basic bolt on mods. it seems the oem turbo and fuel setup maxes out at about 290/340 which should be more then enough for most. im very thankful subie gave us a motor that so over engineered for stock lgt purposes. as far as pricing there are still a couple of 05 lgts out there that can be had for less then a loaded 06 wrx.peace
no back on topic about the gto

I never owned a cl, but my insurance with a clean record on 3 cars (04 gto, 04 sti, 05 Rav4L) is 2240 a yr and the sti is the most expensive to insure of the bunch at 890.

Luckily that will be going away soon, though! Buy an Escort 8500

My father was in the Army...I can have USAA, and I think I can grandfather in any future spouse and Children I have.
I can also have accts with military credit unions, and have my Renters Ins with AFI..
USAA isnt the cheapest..they are usual more on the expensive end of things...but they are the best for auto insurance.
The GTO rocks. That's another weekend driver possibility for me, while keeping my beloved TL as a daily driver.
Getting it for less than $20k would be a huge plus...while I understand that the 2004 is "not as good" as the 2005, you can't beat the power for the money. I mean, people are talking about the LS1 as if it's chopped liver!
Go for it, MrSteve!

So far i'm avg 19 just on my daily driving (100 miles a day, a lot of stop and go mix between freeways and streets). I did a 200 mile round trip to the casino friday night, got 24 mpg.
So, no; gas mileage won't really be worse then the CL. I don't baby the car either

That's when I got mine

I think I'm going to have to end up selling it though. It's just too much of a drain on my finances trying to go to school at the same time, and education is way more important.
Looks like I'm headed towards an older Firebird...........
