I can honestly say your car was one of the best sounding cars in that vid. Very nice!

Well, technically they did make the "427 Convertible" in 2012 and 2013. But, it was not a Z06, more of a Grand Sport with the LS7 in it.

Can't wait to see you with a C6 Vert' Andrew!!!

Thanks man. That's quite a compliment considering the cars that were in that vid I appreciate it.

Well, I'm learning more and more how costly upgrading to this power is. Now my water pump came apart at the hub due to the added pressure of the SC through the belt. Of course, I have to upgrade to better than stock.

Ordered an Evan's LSx high flow pump that flows 20% better than stock and actually cools banks 7-8 during high RPM pulls. The pulley is Billet so it shouldn't come apart like the stocker did. Its $680 just for the pump On the bright side, I will be gaining an increase in power since the engine will be running cooler.

Anyway, the poster of that video also has a video of some revs I did at the request of people around at C&C. Will link it when he posts it sometime later for your listening enjoyment

you better!

and ONLY $680!?!?! At the level of power you're making it ain't gonna be just a spark plug and oil change here and there...you're at a point where all your weak spots will slowly present themselves. Shoot, imagine if you didn't start off with such a strong and reliable platform for FI!

With the labor, it turned out to be a $1400 job (supercharger has to get pulled). You're absolutely right though. I've now replaced: the clutch, the harmonic balancer, the motor mounts, and now water pump. Thank God the LS is such a great motor in itself. I have a 700 whp beast I could daily if I wanted to

Can't wait to get her back for the good weather coming. What vid would you guys want to see next?

So I showed up late to C & C this past Sunday, but met up with a few friends, including Omar (the guy who filmed the previous vid I posted).

Since the parking lot was closed/empty, it was a good time to give the guys some entertainment and work on launching this beast. Getting better

I think the last time I saw you at a meet was that AZ Eastside meet back in 2009 or 2010 when I 1st got this car. Crazy how time flies! Yea, you should come out to these Bergen County Cars and Caffe events. It's crazy the rides that are there. I'm often in Edgewater with the girl/friends, so give me a honk if you see me around

Holy shit, talk about a throw back! I found the thread I made of that meet.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...j-meet-777251/

We should hang out soon. Shoot me a PM on the next coffee and cars. I still have the TL with more work done. Mostly engine bay work with the blower and got my Works redone (new color and bigger lips).

Check your PM. You've always had good taste man. I'm sure your TL looks great. Even better, I recently noticed that I still have pics of that meet in my albums, but for some reason your car wasn't there/in the pics. Do you remember the guy who wanted to pay me to drive his daughter to the prom that day?? That was hilarious.

Your plate is seriously awesome D. I've seen LOLHEMI and LOLFORD on a Corvette, but your beats them both!! Very clever of you D! I wonder if it's taken in NJ?

This guy is a former Mustang owner. Sorry D

That 1st one *might* be considered unprofessional parked in the physician parking lot of the hospital

BTW, looking back at the vid, I calculated a 3.X 0-60 sprint and that was with bogging the launch and losing traction at the upper RPM's of 1st subsequently banging off the rev limiter (which is around 60). Perfect launch and traction, I think 2.X is possible

What also surprised me was how loud it was from the highway! Not sure how I feel about that.....

Thanks again guys for the feedback.

Good morning Buddy! Thank you for the invite on coffee & cars. It was a pleasure meeting up again, since the last meet. Car sounded wicked! As you were leaving, you caught everyones attention with the exhaust tone. Sounded absolutely brutal man! Hope all is well with your father. I have to find another way to upload that video I took.

As you know man, it's been a rough few days and that's why I haven't responded. Thanks man for coming out and it was really good seeing you again. You and the wife are perfect together....I wish you both the best in luck in life. Also, the 3g TL looks unreal still. One of the best on the site

Thanks Ross, I agree it would be a sweet touch. But, the cost+ pain in the ass: benefit ratio is a bit too high.

I would LOVE these. What do you guys say??

I never understood why they did a pure clear lense with body matched headlights. I would do matt blacked stock heads way before dropping that kind of money for CF ones.

It would also be one of the first things I'd do to that car.

they look like ebay headlights and you'll pay 2500$ for them. So I would say no but that's just me. I would just black them out and save myself 2495$ dollars. 5$ for a can of spray

Yes, it's with very saddened heart I announce the death of my father to cancer after a 10 year battle. He was in remission from one but developed an acute fatal leukemia on top of it in 2 days suddenly (ironic, me being an oncologist for a living). He was an amazing man...a man like they don't make any more--old school warrior toughness. He was my idol. It's been a tough loss for my entire family and friends. J....you are a class act. Thanks

You guys have any recommendations for the $5 dollar stuff to try. Worst case, I take it off. Thanks again guys for the suggestions. Keep them coming.....

I'm sorry to hear too, man...and thank you. I wouldn't have mentioned what it was publicly, that's for sure.
And don't be so hard on yourself and the type of man he was...you carry that torch and pass it on to your kids too.

Anything you need to chat about, you know we're all here.
