A Quick Vid

My sister shot this vid with her iPhone 6 plus on the drive back. Nothing crazy, just testing her out on that 1st drive home.

Although this is #terriblefinancialmistake

This is priceless

haha....thanks guys.

Those were all out of gear downshifts. If I downshited into the right gear I would have been in the divider. The supercharger's scream from the front is glorious and I love the sound of the Borla Atak with the LG Headers, and now Catted (but not really catted ) X-pipe.

Just sucks I never got to really enjoy the car before I had to send her back. Oh well...hopefully will be better than ever when I get her back (better be with all the pain my wallet is going through)

Dude.. I think I/we may have a problem. I did too much to the 5.0 too fast and I may be able to sell without losing much if anything AND I have my eyes on a supercharged '07 C6...

Well sucks about the above D. PM'd you back.

Another update with my car, turns out ECS found my Torque Tube was "torn apart" and that was causing the clutch issue. Still, they recommend upgrading the clutch to the Mantic with my power level (of course) and a new torque tube now.

Tack on more to the bill.....my rectum hurts at this point

Finally got everything straightened out (new torque tube, Mantic 9000 twin disc race clutch, slave, remote bleed, etc)and the wheels mounted. This car is an absolute MONSTER. It needs to be experienced to be appreciated. The sound and vibration runs through your body. Deep and throaty beyond what the camera can capture. After clearing the ~3 feet of snow we had, I had to take her out at the 1st glimpse of spring (upper 50s today). The traction control system catches in every gear. It is insane. I will mount the GoPro and go for a ride when its nicer (the pops and crackles decelerating bring tears to my eyes and---i'll admit---have made me giggle like a teenager again, they are so beautiful), but here are a few teasers.....

Walk around.....

Where do you guys want camera mounted?

Personally, I want various angles to try and capture the whole experience. I.e. Right behind you on the driver head rest or similar area, on the dash facing front then back, facing the speedo, definitely a clip of the gopro facing the exhaust.

Shit, I'm excited as if it was my own car. Hahahah

Camera mounted rectally please!

Honestly, I love the vids from the car where you hear it and kinda see how it is accelerating, but to me, having someone standing still from a distance in an open lot or something is where you can REALLY see how fast the mass is moving from a stop!

Anyway, thanks, man...very happy for you.

haha....that's the only angle D missed huh?

I wish I could teleport this thing to San Diego and you could enjoy it with me D. The weather during the winter here makes driving this thing impossible (I'm having the traction control catch in 6th--an overdrive gear!) Once it gets nicer out, I'll try to put something together---I can't say how bananas this thing is again. Those vids were nothing

Thanks again guys.

BTW, I let my sister drive the beast in a nearby parking lot and the video is hilarious (my commentary is as I am shi**ing bricks filming). She did an awesome job though and posted "who says girls can't drive stick or supercharged vettes for that matter."

One of my goals when I first got this car was to make it look as good top up as down. While that is a lofty goal, this is the end result of 6.5 yrs. I'm done!

To be fair, his SN is "D's Up" not "David's up", so......

Anyway, I have permission. Thanks "D".

Thanks! Yeah, I need to take the vette out more this season. Didn't get out much last year.

No, I've only had 80 vettes. Though a newer one would be nice to have.

Only 80 vetted huh? lol j/k I wish you the best of luck with her again I'd personally love a classic one day. On my bucket list is going to BJ or Mecum and picking up a nice C2 427 coupe or vert'. One day.....

Anyway, this winter needs to end already! It's too cold/dangerous to put together some vids getting the full insane experience of this car, so an idling vid will have to do for now. The sound is perfect and as good as I could expect for a stock cam. The Borla Atak is an awesome exhaust for the vette. Add full bolt-ons and a supercharger and its even better. This sound vibrates through your body standing outside, if you can imagine that....

^Seriously though, if someone could stuff a Corvette drivetrain into a 3g TL, that would be unbelievably awesome. That would be some epic 3rd gear VTEC yo!!

Mean sexy exhaust rumble.....only one thing to improve on this video....I like when the video includes the crank/start up noise as well!

I especially enjoy hearing the diff crank-startup sounds of diff motors and that nice rumble right when the motor cranks up to life!

That would be an insane swap....could be an incredible sleeper...(though the motor/exhaust noise would give it away too fast.)

Can't even imagine how much time/money would need though. It will be a full RWD conversion plus if any LS motors could fit into the engine bay with all the pumps, wiring, trans, driveshaft, diff, exhaust, etc. etc. May be cheaper to build a custom tube frame that drop a TL body onto it....

But if someone had enough money/time and did it right...could be totally bad ass.

I've never looked into what all went into it, but if an LS1 engine can fit into a 6G Civic (google Civette), surely it would fit into a TL.

you got it Steve... Z06 boy isn't going to be happy that there is another Victory Red that is way faster than him... it will be great!!! once the weather warms up we will do it... with the winter we are having it may be sooner than later... i also befriended a co-worker that just moved here from VA... he has an Orange Coyote... i told him about our cruises, and he is keen as well...

you will have an excuse now!!! we usually coordinate a cruise and the wives gives us a man day pass... it's usually 4 GMs and me as the lonely import... Steve is yet to join, but he will this year!!!

at the end of Nov we took a ride down to the Windmill in Long Branch... but we usually trek it around north NJ, Bear Mtn or the Chatterbox... as long as we can log 200 miles in a day, it's probably the most that my friends put on their vette at one time in the whole year...

link to your C3??? i want to do an '82 restomod... unless i can find a '90 ZR1 for under 20k (yummm quad cam)

Ahh yes good point, I've seen videos of that LS1 RWD Civette.

So now we just need someone with the money/time/know-how to do a world-first V8 RWD TL conversion!
