Just moved to Miami, and unless its raining, ive found myself with all of the sedan windows rolled down + moonroof open 100% of the time. ppl look at me like a douchey miami transplant. am i?
Guess it breaks down to two categories of douchiness:
Category 1 Douche : All windows down (anytime) in a single-season region i.e. SoCal/SoFlo = Douche? Y/N
Category 2 Douche : All windows down (only when weather permitting) in a multiple-season region i.e. Northeast = Douche? Y/N
category 2 douche seems more socially acceptable than a category 1.

now in the fall and spring time, WINDOWS DOWN!
Trending Topics
category 1: its warm weather all the time. so you look like a bigger douche with all the windows down, since a majority of locals are accustomed to warm weather all year round.
category 2: you wait through the winter. it finally gets warm, you want to take advantage of the weather - all windows down.

Report back in the SUMMER. Sweltering 100 degrees. you're sweat 5 mins after taking a shower. your towel will never dry, etc.
you'll be begging for that A/C.

I'm a douche than, I drove around all day today with the windows down, roof open heat on and the system up... it's 50 degrees but a gorgeous 50, drive like you want. It's never crossed my mind that it's douchy, but having the system blaring would fall under douche, so in that regard I am one.
Maybe it is your poor taste in music that draws the "hey look at that douche-bag" looks. Try turning down the master p, bizarre, bow wow, lil romeo, or what ever crap you are listening to.
i say as long as you aren't like playing crappy music, or doing something 'douchey' with your hand out the window, it's fine. I never really notice people with their windows down, unless they're doing something else that gets my attention.
I guess certain cars are more 'douchey' than others too, driving with all the windows down in say a bright ass mustang or something, is probably worse than driving windows down in an... IS?

or rolling with all your friends in a convertible to school on "Friday"?
No. As long as it's warm and I'm not on the highway, I drive with all of the windows down and sunroof open. Occassionally in the middle of summer or winter I'll get the itch to drive "open", and do so then, as well. If you like it, do it; don't worry about what some other person (most likely a douche) thinks.
This is interesting.
Northerners usually ask me, say around July/August when it's 95+F with 90% humidity, and thunderheads rolling in off the Glades 'how the hell can you stand the heat down here?' All the while they are wiping the sweat from their pasty white brows running for the A/C'd lobby of some Corporation. hehe.
I see nothing wrong with riding with the windows down, it makes you look more like one of us, a native. Go for it.

You're asking this on a forum where 90% of the cars can roll all windows down with the remote
Maybe we're all douches?
During the summer I like to drive with all the windows down and sunroof open. Closest I can get to being outside while in the car. In fact, my left forearm is a tad darker than my right, since I rest it on the door.
Air conditioning is reserved for highway driving or when someone else is paying for gas.
Don't really see anything douchey about having your windows down.

I guess im one too. I drive with my windows down if it's warmer than 60 degrees. I'm in SE NC were it's very humid but im from here. I'm used to it. I drive with windows down at 90 degrees plus too unless it's severely slow traffic or sitting at a stop for long periods. When I was in College in Daytona Beach, FL from 19-23yo I had an S2000 the 1st year it was released and a 98 Prelude Type SH. And I rode with the top down in S2k and with windows down in Prelude. I love HOT weather as I was born in August 16th, 1979 on a 92 degree day my mom always reminds me about on a hot day. I miss blasting Trance and Florida Breakz in my s2k. Keep me in your prayers that i'll onday walk again...lol. Thats a car i'd def rebuy for cruising...lol.

I prefer my windows down because I hate AC. I always get sick when it's on, and I can't breath properly when it's on a lot. If it's really necessary like on a highway then sure I will use it but not constantly.
I'm old, so I hate everything. Including noisy streets and annoying music that I don't understanding coming from other vehicles. It's windows up and climate control on for me. I even have one car that has never had the moonroof opened since I bought it in 2005.

Unless it's raining hard, I've usually got mine down about 3-4" on both sides most of the time. I like the fresh air pretty much regardless of the temperature.
All the way down on both sides is a little "look at me Charlie". You need a pair of Italian made stunner shades to go with that.

And I keep my music to myself only..
