Douche? Maybe. Braggart? Certainly, which may be the underlying reason you are asking the question in the first place.

Not bustin' you out, just sayin'.

I love to drive with the windows down but it will soon get old down there, Miami Beach is great for another month or so, then you wont be able to get enough of the AC

I've always wanted to drive around, window down, doing the hand turn signals they teach you in driver's ed, but no one ever uses. I never really had the balls to do it for some reason, haha.

Definitely not. If the weather is above 50 degrees and less than 90 degrees then the top is down in my car (windows down too). I only put the top down in the Texas summer at night.

It's weird to me seeing convertibles with the top down and windows up. I do it ONLY when I'm on the highway since it cuts down the wind noise but if you're going to pay for the moveable top, you might as well put the windows down and experience the full breeze.

Maybe the status quo is windows up because the humidity is so oppressive. "Only a douche would drive with the windows down in Miami." BTW the month with the lowest avg humidity in Miami is April. No fooling.

If you have to turn up the heat to be comfortable, put the top up^

Note the douche in the TT in front of me and the 46 degree temp on the MID.

Well you're in Portland so any day without rain between October and May will result in convertible tops being down. Damn the cold weather, full steam ahead.

Generally no.

If it's cold out and you're just doing it to crank the tunes to make people look at you, then yes...

Top Always Down (tm) unless it's raining or I'm recovering from sunburn. Windows down as well.

Don't care what people think, which is a prerequisite for buying a Miata.

I put my windows down whenever I feel like it, dammit.

Has to be no cooler than 55 and no warmer than 85. And cannot be driving faster than 45.

i say, anytime you're playing your music so loud that it's obvious you're trying to share it with the whole neighborhood it's pretty douchey. This is coming from someone who has poured probably thousands of dollars worth of money into car audio over the years, and probably am guilty of playing my music too loud at some points, but I just get annoyed at people that play their music obnoxiously loud, especially cause 99% of the time they're running some like roadmaster sub and think they got the craziest system ever. Now days, if I want to play my music loud, it's windows closed only.

Amen. In this case, I am the king of d-bags (as usual). I roll around with all windows down and the sun-roof tilted at all times, blasting whatever I may be listening to. If you don't like it, then roll YOUR windows up.

The difference is.. you're imposing upon others.

FWIW, I've been known to do both quite well.

In his defense (kinda) I do the same, except I turn it down to normal talking volume when I approach a red light or turn it down a bit in residential areas

ok, that wasn't really in his defense but yeah

I was just going to say that.

When I had a car w/AC I drove with it sealed up tight most of the time but only because I liked the silence. At night I'd drive w/them open if it was warm out.

ahh, I miss being 18, lol. I miss having that mentality that everyone has to deal with my crap rather than trying to find my place in society. It was fun while it lasted. Helps that at the time I was mostly relating to other 18 year olds at the time, and everyone knew me as "that guy with a really loud car", rather than that "dbag that plays his music too loud"

Honestly, one of the best experiences with driving a convertible is having the heat on when it's a bit chilly or having the A/C running when it's a bit warm. Something with the mix of hot/cold air. Sounds like a waste but it's great.

Anything under 50-55 degrees is too cold for me but this past "winter" in Texas, I did drop the top when it was around 48 degrees since the previous day we were in the 35ish. It made the 48 degrees feel great.

ive lived in miami almost my whole life. People in miami want to be beatiful so having the windows down messes up ones hair, or it may make them perspire a bit. That is why noone else has their windows down. I always get looked at weird too.

Its retarded just like this city

Yeah, I will usually turn the music down as I approach stop lights or when I'm in residential areas. But when I'm driving along, I don't really care.
