Cool Douchebagfe....errr....I mean Bimmerfest 2012

Well, a certain member from the site was in town attending this event, so I made a quick trip out to say hello. I took a couple photos, not a ton. There was some nice rare stuff. Some cool modded stuff, but really I didn't really care seeing so many modern bimmers...Its LA, I see it every day.

The demographic is definitely much different than the cars show I've attending the last few years.

But it was cool...I had never seen a M1 before, that was a treat. It wa sa fun way to spend a couple hours.

M1!!!

2013 6 series Gran Coupe

2013 M6 vert

F10 M5

Nice E28 535is for sale...tempting

2000

E28 M5

My former dream car...850 CSi V12 manual.

One of my all times faves, 3.0 CSL...this one was done nice

Another M1!!!

Nice row of 8s

Thats all of them. I just dont take as many photos at car shows anymore.

I was hoping there would be a laguna seca blue M Coupe...sadly there were a bunch of M3 Coupes and Verts in that color...but I was hoping a rare find such as that would have been there.

A porcupine has the pricks on the outside

Very good Dave. And the 8 series is still a favorite.

And I do like the direction BMW is going to un-bangle themselves. The 6 series 4 door is the Audi A7 and Mercedes CLS fighter. Looks good both in 2 and 4 door guise.

Nice meeting you finally prickface.

However I was disappointment that you were way nicer in person than you are on the forums. I was expecting a punch in a balls when you first came up to me or something.

Looks like a fun time with some great machines.

But (and this is JMHO): 80's BMWs >>>> 10's BMWs

Do you happen to know how much that M5 is selling for? Would it happen to be in the ballpark of a 2003 Accord's price?

Did not know you were in town. You must've been by one of those IND cars. I was there for couple of hours too. Nice pictures, David. If I have time tonight, I'll post mine (not many though, one hand holding the camera while the other holding one of my twins was difficult).

Hehe...I left my twins at home. Still think they are too young...and I was happier when I got there and young idiots were revving the shit out of their engines and driving around inside the show.

What time were you there? In the vendor area, it was fine. But in the parking area, yeah, I hate those young BMW douches also!!! Also, as we exited the freeway, an E92 M3 gunned it in the lane next to me and almost missed the red. What the fux was he trying to prove?

I got there around 10am and left around noon-ish.

Most of the revving was in the vendor area. People driving around the parking area..coming and going...not paying attention.

When I was arriving...some dude in an E46 M3 that was all graphiced out was broken down in the middle of a road that became a turn lane. :giggle:

As I was leaving, an older guy in a bimmer was driving by me a stop sign and yelled "nice ride!" to me...that was cool

I was there in around that time frame too. I think I know which vendors you were talking about. There was one in the Borla booth that was demonstrating the exhaust, then the HPF car was doing something (a big crowd was there and I didn't bother to see). At least those cars were parked.

Yeah those were two of them...didnt mind them as much. I laughed every time one of them built up back pressure and went BANG and scared the shit out of people.

When I was leaving there some kid with his white M5 parked in the vendor area...with the ass end facing towards the crowd and he was sitting there with the door open looking like a total goofy dumbass revving the shit out the engine. I wanted to slap him.

You see any of the 335 vishnu/fttec cars with the single turbo upgrade?

Just broke into the 10's with that kit, I think vishnu ran a 10.82 earlier in the week on the way to BF.

Nice pics by the way.

I honestly wasn't paying much attention to specifics, especially with contemporary models.

Ask Crazy Acura...he would definitely know better than I.
