The site i'm accessing is an auction organization that is across the country. They have at least 100 auctions across the country. I can see which auction they are selling at. I don't need to be at a specific location to bid on any given car, I can access a live simulcast as the cars are going through the block and "click to bid". I have bought cars online a few times...Not my ideal way of wanting to do it, I like to touch a car before I bid, but sometimes I have no choice. When I do buy this way, I always request a post sale inspection with 2 weeks to arbitrate if I find something wrong with the car by the time I get the car shipped to me from wherever I buy it from. The furthest I bought from as of now is FL, VA and GA. I haven't went West-yet.

The Porsche's that I posted aren't going to run through the auction block, rather it's listed on the site in an "ebay style" auction where there is a starting bid price and a "buy it now" price. Those cars usually tend to be in far better condition than the cars that run in the regular auctions, but at the same time they usually tend to go for more than the auction prices too...

I'm tempted to ask how many 2006 MINI Cooper S's without a sunroof you could find...

Ideally:
-6MT w/ LSD
-Navigation
-Aero Kit
-Cold weather pkg
-Convenience pkg
-Sports pkg
-HK Sound
-Anthracite Headliner
-No Sunroof

Not to rain on a parade but I drove a 2006 Cooper S with 33k miles and just hated that car. It was a rattlebox

I thought the Mazdaspeed3 I used to have was better built. Just not as cool. Much faster though.

^ I'm not looking for comfort Im looking for something to slam on stiff coilovers and head to autocross events once in a while.

Been looking for some time now. I found one minus the aero kit and headliner but it's the color I'm not sure about. I might jump on it since I haven't found anything else come nearly as close to having all those options.

PM me if you find anything

Dude with only springs (and an RSB), my car is stiff as $hit...I don't miss it when I go a few days w/o driving it...It's rough on the tuchus....and i'm used to driving stiff riding cars, but the Mini is a bit much...

You're getting old!

I've been in a modded & slammed MINI on VMAXX's, loved every second.

No convertibles preeze

I'm actually surprised with how many non-sunroof equipped MINI"s you've already found.

There's a bunch of others I saw, but the mileage is creeping up, and most had a roof..

Just wondering if you had any idea what price a 2006 TL would go for with about 29K miles on the clock?

I know it's really none of my biz, but what's the advantage of not having a roof on a Mini? Better rigidity?

He's planning to AutoX it, so he wants the most rigidity possible...

There's a few:
-less chances for mechanical/electrical problems
-less chances of rattles
-lower center of gravity (the sunroof weighs over 40lbs)
-the sunroof is a dual glass setup that takes up a large part of the roof, it can be VERY annoying since the sun glares through it all day without a way to provide yourself with shade if you need/want it
-and as Shoofin said... added rigidity

that's a big part of it.

First I get a phone call at 8pm that my brother's sister in law just got off the highway (2 blocks form my house) to a car smoking, she's hysterical crying (kids these days ) and doesn't know what to do. Eddie to the rescue. I do everything I can to cool down the car (blast heater to draw the heat away from the engine), then realize the coolant reservoir is almost empty, add coolant and drop off the car by my friend's shop in the area for him to look at tomorrow. Her grandfather thinks he knows everything and insisted we bring it to his house so he can fix it (this is the third time it happened this month and he "fixed" it every time ).

Now as I was ready to jump in the shower about an hour ago my sister calls me and says she's a block away from my parents house and was driving on a main road, someone in the lane next to her started inching into her lane and she inched away form them, closer and closer to the curb (she was in the right lane) until a gutter drain that was protruding from the curb sliced the two passenger's side tires, and she's stuck down the block from the house. She called my father (You do NOT want to wake up my father after midnight), he yelled at her for being an idiot (she's young )and told her to sleep in the car and hung up on her. Once again, Eddie to the rescue. I very slowly and carefully drove the car to the front of my parents house, changed one wheel/tire and I can't do much about the other one, so I put it in the driveway with one flat. My neighbor has the same car my parents have (02 RX300) and i'll go to them tomorrow morning to see if I can borrow their spare so we can get the car to my friend's shop to replace the two tires. So now it's almost 1:30am, I need to be up at 6am, and I'm quite tired and dirty. I'm out. G'nite.

Man-what kind of drain is that!

On another note, what am I looking at for a 2008-2009 Ram 2500 SLT, 4x4, with auto and diesel? Could I lease a new one for cheap or am I better of buying used?
