I know yall are talking about real fast cars here... I gotta respect the beasts yall drive and the mods that sound like they are making them alot more fun to drive as well as faster!

...but I did get the supercharger running properly on my SLK and it makes a huge difference! I don't know how much boost I am getting, but I can chirp the tires now when I punch it... now I have to relocate the MAP to get more boost and less lag... suppose to be an easy fix on my ride...

One of these days I would love to do that mang! Just around the corner in that beast would be a treat for me!

Once this crummy weather leaves and we have another meet, I'm gonna take you up on that offer

Thanks!

after 2 years of owning the car i finally made the move on a stereo system.

im leaving the factory sound group (8 speaker boston acoustic) minus the sub.

im upgrading to (3) JL audio 10W1V2's with a custom enclosure to keep the clean look.

i will also be looking into new wheels at the beginning of the year after the holidays. more than likely going to go with 3 piece custom wheels if i do decide to get wheels, they arent guaranteed yet, cause i DO love how the 20" stockies look.

JL audio has never disappointed. i had a 10W6 in my TL and it was amazing. and these 3 10W1's hit GREAT for their price. ($140ea)

At least you can still fit groceries...
in the TL I don't mind losing some trunk space sine we don't even have folding seats...you should have seen my rsx...one night with all my duct testing equipment, 2 12's, 10 2 by 4's and a sheet of plywood hanging out the hatch.

safe is debatable
but it got the job done. Plus, the home depot (at the time) was 1 quiet street light away from my house.

sweet! I'm one of the few in Car Talk that doesn't own a 4G TL that actually likes the 2012+ TLs (still hate the 09-11s though).

Just FYI, the TL SH-AWD 6MT put out very similar numbers around a road course to the S4 and 335i

not sure, david. its been a VERY tough decision. but saving money anywhere i can is kind of what i need to be doing. but being a very picky car owner and a single parent of a 5 year old i kind of want to stay at the higher mid range luxury 4 doors vs the 2 door muscle cars right now.

the TLSHAWD is a bit out of my price range, the price they gave me on the tech is very reasonable.

its hard to see the challenger go, but something tells me its time.

Wow...sad to see that you're getting rid of it!
But I totally agree on getting something with better gas mileage.
S line is gorgeous...
4G is nice too.

PS, your camera is still doing very well. It often asks about you

awesome, rockstar! lol

i am now the owner of a 4G TL tech, white with black interior and accessory package.

rides so much smoother than the challenger and just so nice to drive. has some pep to it, obviously cant compare it to the challenger. let the mods begin!

did you trade or are you selling privately?

Sad to see it go, but I get it...It would be different if I didn't have a DD and a car for my kids to ride in.

Yeah man it sucks putting him in the back seat of a challenger. I just traded it didn't wanna waste my time posting it up and waiting for calls. I got blue book for my car and it needed tires, and a tranny flush. I think I forgot to mention the tranny flush to the dealer... Damn

Anyway. Lower payment and better gas ftw.

Delta, CONGRATS! I'm sure it's awesome...down the line, you can always get a faster bad gas mileage car as a second vehicle. For now, enjoy the comfort and tech stuff!

I had one 10" W6 in my CL and it was breath taking, the box was small too.

In my MX5 since space is limited, and I didnt want anything in my trunk, I had a box built to fit in a cubby hole behind the passenger seat. I wanted to do this on a budget so I searched....and searched........and searched for great 8" subs. I narrowed it down to the Infinity Reference 8" and the JBL Grand Touring. Opted for the Infinity because it was around $50. I've got about 300w going to it and man, it thumbs. I can turn it up "too" loud if you know what I mean. Very punchy, and tight. I honestly don't think I was any happier with the JL. It had twice as much power going to it and would take your breath away, but if you are just looking for a little extra bass, you may opt for a different route.

Infinity makes great subs, and half the cost of a lot of brands.
