Which CUV to buy
Which CUV to buy
Hello all, I'm currently looking into buying a CUV to haul my parents, wife and my 5 month old son around. However, my current car (05 TL) is sufficient for now but not for long. Just a trip to my sister's house, the trunk is completely full. Planning on keeping the TL and just purchasing either the CX9, Tribeca or the Pilot. Anyone have any suggestions or in the same situation? I already checked out the Pilot and will be visiting both Subaru and Mazda dealerships around my house soon.
Thank you for any input.

I like the Tribecca and the CX-9. The Pilot is a trusty choice but it's getting dated and the new one is due out soon. However, you might be able to grab one for a good deal...
With that many people though, I'd say look a the Oddy. Someone on here just grabbed on for a good price and it seems like it might be a smart choice for you.

Odyssey (or even a Sienna) > SUV.
A minivan is easier for kids and older folks to enter and exit than any SUV. Big sliding doors simplify the process of dealing with car seats, carriers, strollers, etc. Minivan passenger seats are also configurable, unlike SUVs.

I was looking at an SUV but ended up with an Ody. Glad I did.

Quite simply, the versatility, affordability and practicality (and maybe another 'lity' or two) of a minivan is too difficult to passup given our lifestyle (i.e.: family of 5, two teens, one baby, biannual 1,000 mile+ road trips, frequent Home Depot/Lowes trips, etc,...) and the Odyssey is the best one on the market.

....just a necessary evil, made a little nicer by the likes of the Odyssey or Sienna.

Open Road Honda...where I purchased my 99 and 07 Accords for << invoice. I was there on Saturday with my 17 y/o son to test drive an Si sedan. When I asked one of my 'quick questions' regarding the Ody Touring, he immediately offered $5k off the sticker (or $34k) and I am certain I could talk them down another $2k+.
Sidenote: They have a Mugen Si in the showroom....pretty but, a $30k sticker.
